The world’s most desirable men were officially presented to the media during the Mr World 2019 press presentation on Thursday, August 8 at Novotel’s Versailles Event Garden and Tent in Quezon City.
Dominican Republic, England, Kenya, Mexico and the Philippines were chosen to speak on behalf of the Caribbean, European, African, American, and Asian continents, respectively. Some other contestants were also called in front to answer questions from the press.
Miss Eco Philippines 2019 and Miss Eco International 2019 1st runner-up, Maureen Montagne hosted the presentation.
The event was also attended by Miss World 2018 from Mexico, Vanessa Ponce de Leon, and former Miss World from Puerto Rico, Stephanie del Valle.
Arnold Vegafria, National Director of Miss & Mr World Philippines, acknowledged the Miss World Organization for choosing the Philippines as the venue for this year’s competition. He said, “For me, this is also a very viable platform for promoting the Miss & Mr World organization’s noble advocacies and charities and is also a very good way to promote Philippine culture and tourism.”
Miss World Organization Chairman and CEO Julia Morley also expressed her excitement to be in the country with representatives from all around the world. She said, “Over the next couple of weeks, the contestants will take part in a number of challenges that test the true qualities of a man. We have had such a wonderful welcome from the Filipino people, and we are looking forward to getting to know them better, taste the local food and understand the culture.”
Mr World 2019 finals will be held on Friday, August 23 at one of Asia’s largest indoor arenas, the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines. It will be the 10th edition of the pageant where India’s Rohit Khandelwal will pass the international title over to his successor.
