Mr World 2019 contestants visit the Tuloy FoundationThis year’s Mr World contestants paid a very emotional visit to the 800 children who are currently residents under the care of Father Rocky Evangelista at Tuloy Foundation in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. Tuloy means “welcome” and “to continue” in Filipino, the national language of the Philippines.

The contestants were accompanied by Miss World Organization Chairman and CEO Julia Morley, reigning Miss World Vanessa Ponce de Leon and former Miss World Stephanie del Valle.

Tuloy Foundation started in 1993 to rescue street children, and give them a home, direction, and the skills they need in the real world. For the past 25 years, the foundation has taken under its wing around 20,000 street children who, otherwise would have had been headed to live on the streets and crime just to survive.

Today the Foundation has 10 residential structures, a school and administrative building, technical-vocational skills workshops, a culinary arts centre, a centre for recreation and the arts, a multi-purpose sports centre, an ecological tiered vegetable garden a chapel, and even a world-class football field.

During the Miss World 2017, Father Rocky was presented with the Miss World Humanitarian Award by the Miss World Organization.
