24-year-old Mikaele Ahomana, representing Tonga, won the Mr World 2019 Top Talent with his rendition of “Blessed the broken road” during the pageant’s Charity Gala night held at the Novotel Manila Araneta Center in Quezon City, Philippines on Wednesday, August 21.
The runners-up were England’s impressive drumming and Netherlands’ Latin American dance performance. Indonesia’s magic tricks and Nigeria’s graceful contemporary dance completed the Top 5.
Mikaele was born in Tonga but grew up in Aotearoa, New Zealand. He currently works as a machine operator/forklift driver.
Mr World Tonga is the third contestant to secure a place in the Top 12 joining Top Sportsman, South Africa’s Fezile Mkhize, and Extreme Challenge winner, Ireland’s Wayne Walsh at Mr World 2019 finals on Friday, August 23 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
