Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh has been officially confirmed to represent Vietnam at the 60th Miss International pageant in Japan later this year.
The 22-year-old student in Ho Chi Minh City was the first runner during the Miss Vietnam 2020 national competition last November. She succeeds Nguyen Tuong San as Miss International Vietnam.
Coming from a family that values the importance of education, the beauty queen intends to help children particularly the underprivileged to have access to it.
Vietnam is yet to win the Miss International pageant since the Southeast Asian nation first joined in 1995. Its highest placement was third runner-up in 2005 with Pham Hong Thuy Van.
