Miss USA 2023, the 72nd Miss USA pageant culminated in a glittering final show held on Friday, September 29 at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. The coveted national title went to 23-year-old Miss Utah USA, Noelia Voigt, who will now represent the USA at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador. Here are the things to know about the new Miss USA: 1. Noelia was born in Florida to a Venezuelan mother and an american father. She is the first titleholder of Venezuelan-American descent to be crowned Miss USA. 2. She is also the third representative from the state of Utah to hold the Miss USA title after Charlotte Sheffield (1957) and Linda Bement (1960). 3. Miss USA 2023 kicked off this weekend with the arrival and check-in of the 51 contestants at this year's official venue, the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. The week-long event will conclude this Friday, September 29 with the coronation of the 72nd Miss USA who will go on to represent the United States of America at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador on November 18. As the prestigious national competition begins, it is not easy to predict which of the contestants will take home the crown as it could be anyone's game. A distinguished panel of judges will have the most difficult task of choosing the next Miss USA based on their interviews, and performances during the preliminary swimsuits and evening gown competitions. Emmy award-winning TV personalities Keltie Knight and Adrienne Bailon-Houton have been announced as hosts of the upcoming Miss USA 2023 pageant. The 51 contestants vying for the coveted title are now on their way to the national competition in Reno, Nevada. Only one of them will be crowned as USA's representative to Miss Universe 2023 which is set for November 18 in El Salvador. An esteemed panel of judges who will select Morgan Romano's successor includes beauty entrepreneur and founder of One/Size Beauty Patrick Starrr, fashion designer and businesswoman Nicole Miller, actress, director, producer and entrepreneur Vivica A. Fox, and model, philanthropist, and entrepreneur Emina Cunmulaj Nazarian.
