Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2024 is Raegan Rutty

Raegan Rutty was crowned Miss Univere Cayman Island 2024 on Saturday, August 31 at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. The 22-year-old first Caymanian Olympic gymnast from East End will represent the Cayman Islands at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this November. Arin Broderick and Brianna Wilson were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. A total of six contestants were selected to take part in this year's Miss Universe Cayman Islands. Last year's winner, Ileann Powery, crowned her successor at the end of the event. The new Miss Universe Cayman Islands started her own podcast "The Raegan Way" to share life lessons and inspiring stories. Raegan is dedicated to empowering others especially her fellow Caymanians to pursue their dreams regardless of where they come from. The final competition will be held in August at The Westin, Grand Cayman, and the winner will go to the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) in Mexico later this year. Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2023 is Ileann Powery

Ileann Powery was crowned Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2023 in a national competition held on Saturday, September 2 at the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. The 25-year-old entrepreneur and professional volleyball player from West Bay will now represent the Cayman Islands at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. She succeeds last year's titleholder Chloe Powery-Doxey. Sydonie Barrett and Tracey Campbell were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Ayana Woolery and Mili Almaguer were the rest of the finalists. This year's event which was streamed live on the official Miss Universe YouTube channel was the first edition of the national pageant since the Cayman government dropped the license earlier this year. Cayman Islands Government drops Miss Universe franchise

The Cayman Islands Minister for Tourism and Transport, Hon. Kenneth Bryan officially announced the government's decision to drop the national license for Miss Universe Cayman Islands. According to the minister, the local committee was consulted before notifying the Miss Universe Organization. Future uncertainties due to the changes being implemented by MUO were hinted at as the reasons for their decision. While first runner-up and 70th Miss Universe representative Chloe Powery-Doxey is expected to be officially crowned as Miss Universe Cayman Islands this March, it is still unknown who will take over the franchise or when the country will be back to the Miss Universe pageant. Chloe Powery-Doxey to represent Cayman Islands at 71st Miss Universe

Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2022 first runner-up Chloe Powery-Doxey has been confirmed to represent the Cayman Islands at the 71st Miss Universe pageant. The 25-year-old coach and Women of Valor Basketball Club alumna from the district of George Town replaced the national winner, Tiffany Conolly, who is currently facing legal proceedings related to assault, property damage, and disorderly conduct. As is customary, if for any reason a queen is unable to complete her reign or perform her duties, the first runner-up shall take over. The upcoming Miss Universe edition will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on January 14. Miss World Cayman Islands 2022 is Leanni Tibbetts

Leanni Tibbetts of George Town was crowned Miss World Cayman Islands 2022 on Saturday, September 24 at Harquail Theatre. The 25-year-old aviation management graduate is a pilot and sub-lieutenant at the Cayman Islands Cadet Corps. Apart from winning her national title, she was also awarded Miss Photogenic, Best in Sports, Best in Island Couture, and Best in Interview. Melissa Bridgemohan and Latoya Jackson were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Deverlee Ramos Bodden and Angelique Copeland were the rest of the finalists. The new Miss World Cayman Islands is also an environmental conservation advocate who lives by the saying "Be the change" and she intends to use her platform to empower women, especially those in abusive situations, and to highlight environmental initiatives. Brianna Livingston was crowned Miss Teen Cayman Islands 2022 on Saturday, August 20 at Lions Community Centre in George Town. The 18-year-old anti-body shaming advocate from Bodden Town succeeds last year's winner Asaiah Thomas. She is the daughter of former Miss Teen Cayman Islands Donna Bush who won in 1984. West Bay's Keanna Kelly, 16, and DeShae Cann, 15, were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Lexi Gould and Janelle Wood were the rest of the five contestants. This year's competition themed "Blooming with Grace" was the 41st edition of the Miss Teen Cayman Islands pageant. Prizes for the winner include a scholarship provided by the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports, Agriculture and Lands. Tiffany Conolly was crowned Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2022 on Saturday, August 6 at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. The 24-year-old beauty from West Bay triumphed over seven other contestants to win the national title. Chloe Powery-Doxey and Hayley Grizzel were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Last year's winner Georgina Kerford, who competed during the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel, relinquished her reign at the end of the event. The new Miss Universe Cayman Islands will represent the Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the western Carribean, at Miss Universe 2022 later this year.
