Miss San Miguel, Florence García, was crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2024 on Saturday, September 7 at the Teatro Presidente in San Salvador. The 25-year-old Salvadoran-American model and presenter bested 13 other finalists to win the national title. She will represent El Salvador at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. Luciana Martínez of Santa Ana and Giselle Sandoval of Ahuachapán were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Jocelyn Gallegos of La Libertad and Iris Guerra of La Unión rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The rest of the Top 10 were Bianca Marenco of Sonsonate, Tifany Montenegro of Morazán, Diana Portillo of San Vicente, Saori Pacheco of Usulatán, and Debora Guadrón of San Salvador. Hosted by Nick Teplitz and R'Bonney Gabriel, the show featured 84 incredible women from the world showcasing their beautiful costumes during the spectacular celebration of diversity, culture, tradition, and creativity. The live streaming of the Miss Universe 2023 preliminary competition has been moved to YouTube, due to a technical issue with its live stream platform partner Live Bash. According to the Miss Universe Organization (MUO), "The viewership and ticket purchasing from our fanbase overwhelmed the Live Bash host site, so in order to avoid any delays we are pushing to YouTube." The organization also announced that those who have already purchased their virtual tickets will be refunded by Live Bash. Refunds will be processed within approximately 5-10 business days. The Miss Universe Organization has revealed today the official selection rounds for the upcoming 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) competition. From the 85 contestants, only 20 will be announced to proceed to the semifinals during the final show this Saturday, November 18 in San Salvador. The Top 20 will compete in their swimsuits then only 10 will continue to the next round and compete in their evening gowns. From the Top 10, the 5 finalists will be selected and they will go through the question and answer round. Then, only the Top 3 will go to the last round which is the final question and answer. Five contestants vying for Miss Universe 2023 have been selected for a special photoshoot with MUBA Cosmetics, the official makeup sponsor of the 72nd Miss Universe competition. They were Camila Avella of Colombia, Mariana Downing of the Dominican Republic, Rikkie Valerie Kollé of the Netherlands, Athenea Pérez of Spain, and Anntonia Porsild of Thailand. Miss Universe branches into e-commerce and merchandising, launches swimwear line with top designer Rubin Singer The Miss Universe Organization has just announced "Miss Universe by Rubin Singer" as their first-ever collaboration with another brand to create a merchandise line, as well as their first line of e-commerce merchandise. As the official swimwear of the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in San Salvador this month, the contestants will wear its first limited collection "Off the Runway" for the upcoming preliminary and final show's swimsuit competition. The collection includes plus-size and modest offerings, in addition to dozens of high-fashion looks from the renowned womenswear designer. It will be available for pre-order on November 15 and shipping start in late December 2023 to January 2024.
