The 70th Miss World Top 40 semi-finalists have arrived back in San Juan, Puerto Rico for the final competition this Wednesday, March 16 at Coca-Cola Music Hall. After more than 2 years and the unfortunate cancellation of the event last December, Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica, the longest-reigning Miss World in history will finally crown her successor. Cebu City's Fuschia Anne Ravena bested 25 other contestants to be crowned Miss International Queen Philippines 2022 in a national competition held on Sunday, March 6 at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. The 26-year-old Cebuana beauty who hails from Bogo City will now prepare to represent the Philippines at Miss International Queen 2022 in Pattaya, Thailand. Anne Patricia Lorenzo Diaz of Manila and Shane Lee Ahn of Inayawan, Cebu City, were the first and second runners-up, respectively. This year's event was the inaugural edition of Miss International Queen Philippines. It is a subsidiary of the Thailand-based international pageant, the largest beauty contest for transgender women. The Philippines has won Miss International Queen twice with Kevin Balot in 2012 and Trixie Maristela in 2015. The Miss World Organization has announced the Digital Media Challenge where the Top 40 contestants were asked to promote their journey at the Miss World pageant through their individual websites at missworld.com . Web promotion should include their friendships and experiences at Miss World, their hopes after reaching the Top 40, messages of support or congratulations they have received from home, and the Beauty With A Purpose presentation including a full description of the progress made on their project, however, the contestants were also encouraged to come up with their own original ideas and designs to create the best website to share with the world. According to the organization, they're looking for the contestants' ability to tell their stories and engage with their fans.
