Fresh from London, the beauty queen touched down in Prague where she was warmly received by her family, friends, and the media. Also present during her arrival at the airport were Miss Czech Republic national director Taťána Makarenko and her team. The next day, Monday, March 25, a homecoming press conference was held for the new Miss World at The Old Town Hall in her country's capital city. Czech Republic's Krystyna Pyszková was crowned the 71st Miss World in a glittering festival held on Saturday, March 9 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India. The 24-year-old model and student from Třince bested more than 100 other beauties to win the coveted title. She became the second Czech woman to become Miss World next to Taťána Kuchařová who won in 2006. Aside from modeling, Krystyna is currently pursuing her degrees in law and business administration.
