Valeria Villanueva to represent Mexico at Miss International 2024

Valeria Villanueva was crowned Mexicana Universal Internacional 2023 (Miss International Mexico 2023) during the Mexicana Universal 2023 national final held last Saturday, September 2 in Aguascalientes. The 24-year-old model and actress, who represented the state of Colima, will participate in the 62nd Miss International (Miss International 2024). Her predecessor, Itzía Garcia, who is also from Colima, will be heading to Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan for Miss International 2023 this October. The new Miss International Mexico went to social media to thank her family, friends, and supporters who helped make her successful journey to the national pageant possible. Melissa Flores bested over 30 other competitors to be crowned Mexicana Universal 2023 (Miss Universe Mexico 2023) in a national competition held on Saturday, September 2 at the Convention and Exhibition Center of Aguascalientes. The 25-year-old model and psychology graduate from Michoacán will now represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. She succeeds last year's winner Irma Miranda. Valeria Villanueva of Colima was named Mexicana Internacional while Tania Estrada of Chihuahua, Carolina Pérez of Sinaloa, and Xiadani Saucedo of Ciudad de México were awarded the titles Mexicana Charm, Mexicana Hispanoamericana, and Mexicana Orb Internacional, respectively. The contestants vying for Mexicana Universal 2023 (Miss Universe Mexico) have all been revealed via the official social media accounts of the competition. This year's pageant will be the fifth edition of Mexicana Universal — the annual search for Mexican representatives for Miss Universe and other international pageants including Miss International, Reina Hispanoamericana, and Miss Orb International. Carolina Pérez Martínez was crowned Mexicana Universal Sinaloa 2022 on Friday, November 18 at Modular Inés Arredondo (MIA) in Culiacán. The 26-year-old hotel and tourism management graduate will now prepare to represent the state of Sinaloa at the Mexicana Universal 2023 pageant. "When dreams are bigger than fears, nothing is impossible. I dreamed about this moment a thousand and one times and it came true. Once again I proved to myself what I am capable of, I am so happy and proud because all my hard work and dedication paid off," she wrote in a statement on social media. Mexicana Universal 2022: Irma Miranda of Sonora to represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2022

Irma Miranda, representative of the state of Sonora, was crowned Mexicana Universal 2022 (Miss Universe Mexico 2022) at the Centro de Convenciones de San Luis Potosí (San Luis Potosi Convention Center) on Saturday, May 21. The 25-year-old TV host and business administration graduate bested 31 other contestants to win her title. She succeeds Débora Hallal of Sinaloa and will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2022 later this year. Itzía Garcia of Colima clinched the title Mexicana International 2023 (Miss International Mexico 2023) and will be sent to next year's Miss International pageant in Japan. Reigning Miss Universe Andrea Meza visits holy sites in Israel

The reigning Miss Universe from Mexico, Andrea Meza, toured around Israel ahead of the upcoming 70th Miss Universe competition to be held in the country this December. Her itinerary included a visit to holy sites in Jerusalem's Old City on Wednesday, November 17. Amid boycott calls and pressures on contestants, Israel pushes through its historic hosting of the Miss Universe pageant in Eilat. Over 70 beauties from around the world will soon arrive to compete for the prestigious title. According to Andrea, the pageant shouldn’t be politicized. The Mexican beauty will relinquish her crown on December 12 in the southern Israeli resort city. "Everyone with different beliefs, with different backgrounds, with different cultures, they all come together and when you are in there you forget about politics, about your religion," she told the press. The 24-year-old beauty who hails from Los Mochis holds a degree in business administration. She represented Sinaloa in Mexicana Universal 2020 competition where she placed first runner-up. Debora succeeded Andrea Meza, who was crowned Miss Universe 2020 last month in Florida, USA. Mexico's Andrea Meza wins 69th Miss Universe

Andrea Meza of Mexico was crowned as the 69th Miss Universe in a glittering competition held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, USA on Sunday, May 16. She succeeds Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa. The 26-year-old beauty who hails from Chihuahua bested 73 other delegates from around the world to win the third Miss Universe title for her country. She previously placed first runner-up at Miss World 2017 pageant. Julia Gama of Brazil was named first runner-up while Janick Maceta of Peru finished second runner-up. Adline Castelino of India and Kimberly Jiménez of the Dominican Republic were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
