Miss Santa Monica, Samantha Ramos was crowned Miss California USA 2024 on Sunday, June 23 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove. The Mexican-American mentor, model, and restaurant franchisee from Fullerton will now prepare to represent California at the Miss USA 2024 pageant in Hollywood, California this August. "I am Miss California USA 2024. Grinning ear to ear, I accomplished a goal I set after almost 10 years ago. From being a non-finalist teen to 1st runner up at Miss CA Teen USA, to 2nd runner up at Miss CA to finally getting the crown," Samantha shared online. Bay Area native representing Santa Clara County, Kimberly Vernon, was crowned Miss California 2024 on Saturday, June 15 at the Visalia Convention Center. The 27-year-old artist, educator and advocate for the arts triumphed over 40 other contestants to win the state title during the pageant's 100th anniversary celebration. She succeeds last year's winner Sabrina Lewis and will now prepare to represent California at the Miss America 2025 competition. Mikaela Harris of San Fernando Valley was named first runner-up while Taylor Yamane of Inland Empire, Kirstin Yvonne Bangs of Central California, and Bailey Farren of San Francisco were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. California's Candy Cáceres was crowned Miss for America Strong 2023 on Friday, August 24 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Emmy-nominated journalist and bilingual weather anchor hailing from the Dominican Republic bested more than 40 other contestants to win the national competition for the most accomplished and single women of America. Jessica Wallace of Kentucky was named first runner-up while Jonét Nichelle of Rhode Island was announced as the second runner-up. Sabrina Lewis, representing Berkeley, edged out 42 other competitors to win Miss California 2023 on Saturday, July 1 at the Visalia Convention Center in Downtown Visalia, California. The 26-year-old equestrian and an alumna of the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) succeeds last year's titleholder Catherine Liang, a financial analyst from Bay Area. Asha Bhattacharya of Anaheim Hills was named first runner-up while Taylor Yamane of Riverside City, Mahika Valluri of Northern California, and Katie Tessier of Los Angeles County were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. ALZ and mental health advocate Tianna Clark bested over 80 other competitors to be crowned Miss California USA 2023 on Sunday, June 18 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove, California. The 27-year-old soldier and professional model from Perris is a psychology graduate of Norco College in Riverside County. She succeeds last year's winner Tiffany Johnson and will now prepare to represent her home state at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada on a date yet to be announced. "Blessed and grateful.
