Xue Hou was crowned Miss Universe China 2024 during the national competition on Sunday, July 28 in Sanya Bay, Sanya City, Hainan Province. The 22-year-old model from Beijing will represent China at Miss Universe 2025 (74th Miss Universe) whose date and venue have yet to be announced. "We are sure Xuhe will carry the Chinese flag with pride and she will bloom towards the universe to show her true self," the organizers posted on social media. China will be represented at this year's Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November with her predecessor, last year's winner Jia Qi from Chengdu. Miss Universe China 2023 is Jia Qi from Chengdu

Jia Qi was crowned Miss Universe China 2023 last Sunday, October 22 during the national competition held in the world's ceramic capital, Dehua. The 23-year-old beauty from Chengdu will represent her country at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. She succeeds last year's winner Sichen Jiang. From more than 200 beautiful and talented young ladies from all provinces and autonomous regions of China, only 32 contestants were selected to take part in this year's final. Miss World China 2022 is Qin Zewen, why is she controversial?

Qin Zewen has been announced the new Miss World China and will represent her country at the 71st Miss World pageant. The 25-year-old former Essence Securities employee replaces Ruan Yue, who was stripped of her title due to "accusations of misconduct violating the Miss World's purpose." Qin's appointment as the new titleholder sparked an online controversy because she was chosen instead of the runners-up, and when you thought things couldn't get any worse, her educational qualification and employment background were also questioned. Allegedly, she holds a degree in computer engineering as well as a master's in finance and worked as a market analyst at one of the leading securities corporations in China.
