Mame Fama Gaye was crowned Miss Senegal 2024 (Miss World Senegal 2024) during the national competition held last Friday, July 12 at the Grand Theatre National De Dakar. The 24-year-old model from Fatick will represent at the 72nd Miss World next year. She succeeds Fatou L'eau, Senegal's representative during the 71st Miss World in Mumbai, India last March. Fatou Guèye, 23, from Louga, was named first runner-up and will head to Mexico for Miss Universe 2024 this November. She will be the first Miss Universe Senegal in over three decades. Senegal, a country in West Africa, debuted at Miss Universe 1974 and its last participation was during Miss Universe 1987.
