Miss Namibia 2024 is Prisca Anyolo from Windhoek

Prisca Anyolo was crowned Miss Namibia 2024 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, July 20 in the historic town of Lüderitz. The 28-year-old award-winning journalist and television presenter from Windhoek bested nine other finalists to win the coveted national title. She succeeds Jameela Uiras, last year's winner who made the Top 20 at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador last November. Lenna Mugena and Georgia Garises were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Jodie-Lee Barnard and Naomi Kamenye rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Miss Namibia 2024: Meet the Top 10 finalists

From the Top 20, only 10 finalists have been selected to continue their journey to the Miss Namibia 2024 crown. The Top 10 were officially revealed during the preliminary competition held on Saturday, May 11 at Droombos Windhoek. This year's much-awaited final competition date and venue have yet to be announced. The Miss Namibia organization headed by Umbi Karuaihe-Upi currently holds the national license for Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth pageants. Last year's winner Jameela Uiras went to Miss Universe 2023 last November in El Salvador where she placed in the Top 20. Due to Miss World rules, Namibia's next Miss World representative has to be a national winner. Last year's first runner-up, Albertina Haimbala, was designated for Miss Earth 2024 instead of the 72nd Miss World. Albertina Haimbala to represent Namibia at Miss Earth 2024

The Miss Namibia Organization (MNO) has officially announced Albertina Haimbala as Namibia's representative for Miss Earth 2024 later this year. Albertina, a 24-year-old marketing management graduate, was the first runner-up at Miss Namibia 2023. She was previously designated to participate in the 72nd Miss World. According to the MNO, the Miss World organization now strictly enforces its standing rule that only the national winner can participate in the Miss World competition. The rule also stipulates that the first runner-up can only participate when the national winner is unable to and/or incapacitated. CEO Umbi Karuaihe-Upi said: "There are rules and requirements that we have no control over, including the postponement of international beauty pageants. Hence, as license franchise holders, we must abide by them." The winners of the annual Miss Namibia pageant are usually sent to Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth. Miss Earth Namibia 2022 is Diana Andimba

Diana Andimba (left) has been officially announced as Miss Earth Namibia 2022 on Monday, September 12, and she will go to the Philippines to compete for Miss Earth 2022 this November. The 23-year-old philanthropist, aspiring chef, and architect in training from Windhoek was the second runner-up during Miss Namibia 2022 pageant held last August 12 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino. For the first time in Miss Namibia's history, four representatives will represent Namibia on the global stage. Miss Namibia 2022 Cassia Sharpley, 21, will go to 71st Miss Universe, first runner-up Leone Van Jaarsveld, 26, to 71st Miss World, and Miss Teen Namibia Zoe Karsten, 17, to Miss Teen International 2022. Namibia first joined Miss Earth in 2014 with Paulina Malulu, the first Namibian woman to compete in four major pageants.
