Miss Piura, Nancy Salazar, was crowned Miss Earth Peru 2022 in a competition held on Sunday, August 14 at DataVision studio in Lima. The 23-year-old business administration graduate succeeds last year's titleholder Briggitte Corrales and will represent her country at Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines this November. Miss Lima Sur, Maria Pia Huaranca, was named Miss Earth Peru Aire while the representatives of Lambayeque, Shantal Vega, and La Libertad, Pierina Azañedo completed the Top 4 and clinched the titles Miss Earth Peru Fuego and Miss Earth Peru Agua, respectively. A total of seven finalists participated in this year's Miss Earth Peru edition. Peru, a country in South America, has yet to win the Miss Earth pageant. Meet the official delegates of the Miss Earth 2021 virtual competition from Bulgaria, Indonesia, Northern Marianas, and Peru: Miss Earth Bulgaria 2021 is 28-year-old Yuliia Pavlikova. She holds a doctorate degree in economics and is a member of the Fund for the Protection of Animals. Monica Francisca Khonado was appointed as Miss Earth Indonesia 2021. She is a host and moderator and founded the sustainability project Voice of Nature Indonesia. Crystal Fiona Rio was named Miss Earth Northern Marianas 2021 in a national competition held at the Hyatt Regency Saipan on September 18. The 18-year-old college student is currently working towards her master's degree in psychology. Miss Earth Peru 2021 is Briggitte Corrales, who is a graduate of business and marketing.
