Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuy Thuc Tien and Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska arrived on Thursday, August 25 at Kota Kinabalu International Airport, in Sabah, Malaysia. Joined by Miss Grand International Organization's Nawat Itsaragrisil and Teresa Chaivisut, the queens were warmly welcomed by the fans and national pageant organizers during their arrival in the country. This is the second time for the reigning Miss Grand International and Miss World to be together since their first meeting in Vietnam during the Miss World Vietnam 2022 competition two weeks ago. In a photo shared by Miss World, the reigning queens wearing beautiful Vietnamese creations were on board a luxury cruiser together with former Miss World Vietnam titleholders Tran Tieu Vy and Luong Thuy Linh. Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien kicked off her tour of South America with MGI President Nawat Itsaragrisil this week in Peru. Fresh from Bangkok, the reigning MGI was warmly welcomed by Miss Peru organizers and a few activities were lined up for her such as joining a charity project for the less fortunate at Villa Mosha in Jicamarca, meet and greet with fans, and the crowning ceremony for the new Miss Grand Peru. Tien crowned Janet Leyva as Miss Grand Peru 2022. The 25-year-old fashion model from Lima will represent her country at Miss Grand International 2022 pageant in Indonesia this October. Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien has finally returned to her home country Vietnam a month after winning her international beauty title in Bangkok, Thailand. The Vietnamese beauty queen was warmly welcomed by her fellow countrymen during today's homecoming parade and ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City. She is expected to stay a few weeks in her country before flying back to Thailand where she is based during her reign. Tien bested over 50 other contestants to win her country's first Miss Grand International title in December of last year at the SHOW DC Hall in Bangkok. Miss Grand Vietnam, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, bested over 50 other contestants to be crowned Miss Grand International 2021 on Saturday, December 4 at the SHOW DC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 23-year-old hospitality management student succeeds Abena of the United States of America. She's the first-ever Vietnamese woman to win the Miss Grand International beauty title. Ecuador's Andrea Victoria Aguilera finished first runner-up while Brazil's Lorena Goncalves Rodrigues was named the second runner-up. Vivianie Diaz Arroyo of Puerto Rico and Jeane Van Dam of South Africa were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Grand International 2021 contestants are now back in Bangkok after a series of pre-pageant and preliminary events in Phuket, Thailand. Best in Swimsuit (Fan Vote) : Vietnam has won the most votes from fans for Best in Swimsuit followed by Cambodia and Indonesia while Guatemala and the Philippines completed the Top 5. Miss Grand International 2021 welcome ceremony and press conference was held on Thursday, November 18 at the Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort in Phuket, Thailand. Fifty-eight contestants wearing their stunning evening gowns and respective crowns arrived at the venue in a sports car. They raised a toast with the reigning queen Abena Appiah and MGI executives during the glittering event. Miss Grand International 2021 contestants' orientation and sash ceremony was held on Wednesday, November 17 at Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort in Thailand. Indy Johnson was officially named as the newly appointed Miss Grand Thailand 2021 during a press conference held on Wednesday, October 6 at PM Center in Bangkok. The 24-year-old beauty from Bangkok represented Pathum Thani and placed as the first runner-up during Miss Grand Thailand 2020 competition won by her predecessor, Patcharaporn “Nam” Chantarapadit. Amara Shune Lei, 25, has been officially announced as the newly appointed Miss Grand Myanmar 2021. The 25-year-old model, hairstylist, and makeup artist placed in the Top 8 during the Miss Earth 2020 virtual competition held in November last year. She will now prepare to represent her country at the Miss Grand International 2021 pageant in Thailand later this year.
