Vietnam's first Miss International receives warm homecoming celebration

Vietnam's Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy has received a warm homecoming celebration after winning her country's first Miss International last week in Tokyo, Japan. Fans flocked to the international airport in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday, November 18 to welcome the 22-year-old beauty from Danang. Thuy made history for Vietnam after beating 70 other contestants to win the 62nd Miss International on November 12 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. In a heartfelt post after her crowning, the beauty queen expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support she received throughout her journey to the international stage. Antioquia's Catalina Duque Abréu crowned Señorita Colombia 2024

Catalina Duque Abréu was crowned Señorita Colombia 2024 (Miss Colombia 2024) on November 10 at the Cartagena Convention Center. The 25-year-old beauty representing Antioquia bested over 30 other contestants to win the national title. She became the seventh winner from Antioquia and the first in 28 years after Claudia Elena Vásquez in 1996. Nicolle Ospina of Atlántico placed second and was named Virreina while Juliana Osorio of Region Caribe, Valentina Tafur of Valle, and Olga Álvarez of Riohacha were the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. Sharon Gamarra of Barranquilla, Yaniris Castellar of Cartagena, Ángela Capella of Chocó, Liz Zamara Yanquen of Norte de Santander, and María José Chacon of Tolima were the rest of the Top 10. The new Señorita Colombia succeeds Sofía Osío Luna and is now expected to represent Colombia at Miss International 2025 in Japan. Vietnam's Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was crowned Miss International 2024 on Tuesday, November 12 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan. The 22-year-old beauty from Da Nang became the first ever Vietnamese woman to become Miss International. She succeeds last year's winner Andrea Rubio from Venezuela. Camila Roca of Bolivia was named first runner-up while Alba Pérez of Spain, Sakra Guerrero of Venezuela, and Sophie Kirana of Indonesia finished as the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Alina Dementjeva of the Czech Republic, Samantha Poole of New Zealand, and Ewa Jakubiec of Poland completed the Top 8 finalists. The Top 20 were from  Australia, Selina McCloskey, Cape Verde, Akysanna Veiga, Cuba, Shelbi Byrnes Garcia, Dominican Republic, Miyuki Cruz, Honduras, April Tobie, Ireland, Hannah-Kathleen Hawkshaw, Japan, Mei Ueda, Mongolia, Bayaraa Suvd-erdene, Nigeria, Perpetual Ukadike, South Africa, Belindé Schreuder, South Sudan, Amylia Deng, and Taiwan, Oceana Lin-Kurie. Miss International 2024: Meet the contestants

The Miss International organization has officially announced the names of the contestants who are vying for Miss International 2024. A total of 75 beauties from different countries and territories are expected to compete for the coveted international beauty title. The contestants will start arriving in Japan on October 29 and will be immersed in various social, cultural, and educational activities. Reigning Miss International Andrea Rubio from Venezuela will crown her successor on November 12 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. "Sustainability in Pageantry" will be the main theme for the 62nd edition of the pageant. This is in line with its post-pandemic advocacy "Beauties for SDGs" which started in 2022. Albania and the British Virgin Islands will debut at this year's competition. Liliam Ashby Barrera has been officially appointed Miss International Panama 2024 and will represent her country at Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan this November. The 24-year-old medical student was crowned by her predecessor Linette Clement who placed in the Top 15 at last year's Miss International competition. Reigning Miss International Andrea Rubio from Venezuela graced the special coronation ceremony held Monday, September 23 in Panama City. The new Miss International Panama was the first runner-up at Miss Universe Panama 2024. She represented Panama Centro during the national pageant last month. Panama won the Miss International crown once with Lía Victoria Borrero González in 1998. She was the first Panamanian representative in history to win a major international beauty pageant. Miss International France 2024 is Camille Platroz

Camille Platroz was crowned Miss International France 2024 in a national competition held on Saturday, September 14 in the northern French city of Roubaix. The 24-year-old beauty, representing Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, will head to Tokyo, Japan this November to compete in the Miss International 2024 pageant. She succeeds last year's winner Lysia Allaire. Alix Heugas of Nouvelle-Aquitaine Saint-Jean-de-Luz was named first runner-up while Christelle Lefebvre of Provence-Alpes-côte-D'azur Marseille and Assia Gaye of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes were the second and third runners-up, respectively. Loy Chanreaksmey was crowned Miss Cambodia 2024 (Miss International Cambodia 2024) in a national competition held on Friday, August 30 in Phnom Penh. The 23-year-old fashion design graduate beat 20 other contestants to win the title. She will represent Cambodia at Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan this November. Savannah Richana Mean was named first runner-up and she will compete in the Miss CosmoWorld 2024 pageant in Malaysia. Mei Chann Lao placed second runner-up while Savuth Sarafiya, Kang Soton Le A, and Noun Sreyneang rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Miss Ecuador 2024 is Eunice Rivadeneira from Guayaquil

Eunice Rivadeneira was crowned Miss Ecuador 2024 on Saturday, August 17 at the Salinas Golf & Tennis Club in the beautiful coastal city of Salinas. The 24-year-old architect from Guayaquil beat 20 other contestants to win the national pageant. She is now expected to represent Ecuador at Miss International 2025. Galia Garcia was named first runner-up while Dagmar Prieto, Romina Murillo, Melany Padilla, and Isabella Sotomayor were the second, third, fourth, and fifth runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Ecuador succeeds last year's winner Delary Stoffers, who went on to compete in Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador last November. This year, the Concurso Nacional de Belleza Ecuador (CNB Ecuador) took over the license for Miss Universe Ecuador from the Miss Ecuador organization. Meet the winners of Miss Nepal 2024

The Miss Nepal 2024 final competition was held on Saturday, August 3 at the Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur. A total of 26 contestants from across the country competed during the 28th edition of the annual competition. Crowned Miss Nepal World 2024 is a 26-year-old entrepreneur and social worker from Kathmandu, Ashma Kumari KC. She succeeds last year's titleholder, Srichchha Pradhan, and will represent Nepal at the 73rd Miss World. Raina Majgaiya and Prasiddhy Shah also crowned their respective successors during the live telecast on Himalaya TV. Miss Nepal Earth 2024 Sumana KC from Chitwan and Miss Nepal International 2024 Karuna Rawat from Tanahun will represent Nepal at Miss Earth 2024 and Miss International 2024, respectively. Simrika Manandhar, Preravita Swar, and Shraddha Suman Silwal rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Former Miss Polonia, Ewa Jakubiec, has been officially appointed Miss International Poland 2024 and will head to Miss International 2024. The 27-year-old was the winner of Miss Polonia 2023 who went on to represent Poland at Miss Earth 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam last December. Ewa is a model and certified nurse from a small town in the Opole region. She recently graduated from the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw with a degree in public health. Selina McCloskey was crowned Miss International Australia 2024 in a special ceremony held on Saturday, July 13 Sir Stamford Circular Quay in Sydney. The 23-year-old model from Eleebana, New South Wales succeeds last year's titleholder Jazel Alarca and will represent Australia at Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan this November. "Words can't explain this feeling. Being appointed to my dream job, Miss International Australia, is a surreal moment I'll never forget. To be able to represent my country with such pride is a true honour, knowing my younger self would be so proud," she wrote online.
