Miss International 2023 Andrea Rubio touched down in the Philippines on Wednesday, July 3 as an invited guest of the upcoming Binibining Pilipinas 2024 pageant. The beauty queen from Venezuela will be gracing the 60th edition's grand coronation night this Sunday, July 7 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City. Andrea will stay at Novotel Manila Araneta City throughout her official visit to the country. She was warmly welcomed at the hotel by members of the media and some Filipina beauty queens. Reigning Miss International Andrea Rubio is expected to visit the Philippines to attend the 60th Binibining Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) pageant. This will be the second official visit of the Venezuelan beauty to Asia since she was crowned Miss International 2023 last October in Japan. Last March, she went to Jakarta, Indonesia as a special guest of the Puteri Indonesia 2024 pageant together with the reigning Miss Supranational Andrea Aguilera and Miss Charm Luma Russo. This year's Binibining Pilipinas grand coronation night will be held on July 7 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. The winners will represent the Philippines at Miss International 2025 and The Miss Globe 2024. The 24-year-old beauty who bagged her country's ninth Miss International crown received a special tribute and welcome in the variety program "Súper Sábado Sensacional" on Venevisión. Andrea Rubio of Venezuela bested 69 other contestants to win Miss International 2023 on Thursday, October 26 at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. The 24-year-old model from Caracas succeeds last year's winner Jasmin Selberg of Germany. She became the ninth Miss International winner from Venezuela. Colombia's Sofía Osío Luna was named first runner-up while the representatives from Peru, Camila Díaz Daneri, Philippines, Nicole Borromeo, and Bolivia, Vanessa Hayes Schutt were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Farzana Yasmin Ananna was recently crowned Miss International Bangladesh 2023 and she will be the first representative of her country at Miss International. The 23-year-old model, politician, and women and gender studies graduate will soon travel to Tokyo, Japan to compete in the 61st Miss International pageant. Former Miss Grand Angola, Teresa Sara, was crowned Miss International Angola 2023 in a special ceremony held on Saturday, September 16 in Luanda. The 26-year-old model, social volunteer, philanthropist, and lawyer received her crown from Stephany Amado, Miss International 2022 first runner-up from Cape Verde. No stranger to pageantry, Teresa took part in Miss Universe Angola 2022 where she represented Zaire and placed in the Top 10. She was then appointed to compete in the 10th Miss Grand International pageant last October in Indonesia.
