Javkhlan Munguntsatsralt was crowned Miss Mongolia 2023 (Miss International Mongolia 2023) in a national competition held last August 19 at the Independence Palace in Ulaanbaatar. The 24-year-old lawyer from the Mongolian capital city will now prepare to represent the "land of eternal blue sky" at Miss International 2023 in Tokyo, Japan this October. This year's competition marked the 19th year of the Miss Mongolia pageant. A total of 16 contestants from across the country battled it out to win the coveted national title. Last year's winner from Darkhan, Nomin-Erdene Bayarkhuu crowned her successor at the end of the event. The 18th Miss Mongolia pageant was held last Saturday, June 4 at the UG Palace in Ulaanbaatar. Nomin-Erdene Bayarkhuu, a 25-year-old beauty who hails from the capital city, was named Miss Mongolia 2022. She will represent her country at the 60th Miss International (Miss International 2022) pageant in Japan later this year. The first and second runners-up, Bayarbat Khuslen and Bayanmunkh Suvdanzaya, will be sent to Miss Heritage and Miss World University competitions, respectively. Baasandorj Byambalhagva and Bazarsad Buyanjargal were the rest of the Top 5 finalists. The Miss Mongolia pageant was first held in 2001. This year, a total of 15 beauties from across the country were selected to compete in the final.
