Liliam Ashby Barrera has been officially appointed Miss International Panama 2024 and will represent her country at Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan this November. The 24-year-old medical student was crowned by her predecessor Linette Clement who placed in the Top 15 at last year's Miss International competition. Reigning Miss International Andrea Rubio from Venezuela graced the special coronation ceremony held Monday, September 23 in Panama City. The new Miss International Panama was the first runner-up at Miss Universe Panama 2024. She represented Panama Centro during the national pageant last month. Panama won the Miss International crown once with Lía Victoria Borrero González in 1998. She was the first Panamanian representative in history to win a major international beauty pageant. The Señorita Panamá organization officially announced Linette Marie Clement Marciaga as Señorita Panamá 2023 (Miss International Panama 2023) on Tuesday, August 15 at Central Hotel Panamá in Panama City. The 26-year-old engineering student at Universidad Tecnológica de Mexico will now prepare to represent her country at Miss International 2023 to be held in Tokyo, Japan this October. No stranger to pageantry, Linette previously joined Señorita Panamá 2019 where she placed in the Top 12 and bagged the Best Body and Miss Congeniality awards. Ivis Nicole Snyder, a 25-year-old elementary school teacher and counselor, has been officially announced as Señorita Panamá 2022 (Miss Panama). Organización Señorita Panamá (Miss Panama Organization) made the decision to appoint last year's runner-up as the successor of Brenda Smith, the winner of Señorita Panamá 2021 and Top 16 semi-finalist at 70th Miss Universe, instead of carrying out a national competition.
