Miss Universe Martinique 2024 is Catherine Edouard

Catherine Edouard was crowned Miss Universe Martinique 2024 on Friday, September 6 at the Grand Carbet Du Parc Culturel Aimé Césaire. The 25-year-old entrepreneur from Fort-de-France bested nine other competitors to win the title. She will represent Martinique at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. Marie-Pierre Macambou was named first runner-up while Jennifer Cafardy, Axelle Lefaucheur, and Emmanuelle Henry were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. This year's pageant marks Martinique's return to the Miss Universe pageant after 40 years. Its last participation was in Miss Universe 1984 with Danielle Clery. 71st Miss World: Martinique's Axelle René wins Top Model competition

The 71st Miss World Top Designer and Top Model competition was held last Saturday, March 2 at the Aurika, Mumbai Skycity in Mumbai. Strutting the runway in black dresses brought from their respective countries, the 112 contestants impressed the judges before the decision for the Top 5 from each continent was announced. Axelle René of Martinique won the Top Model competition with her remarkable catwalk performance followed by Nursena Say of Türkiye, Lesego Chombo of Botswana, and Sophia Hrivňáková of Slovakia who were declared the winners for Asia and Oceania, Africa, and Europe, respectively. Chleo Modestine was proclaimed Miss Martinique 2023 on Saturday, September 23 at the Grand Carbet du Parc Culturel Aimé Césaire in Fort-de-France, Martinique. The 21-year-old beauty hailing from Vauclin bested nine other competitors to win the regional competition. She will represent Martinique at the 94th Miss France later this year. Clauranne Alcindor was named first runner-up while Mona Labetan, Maeva Chambeau, and Chloé Perle Furiet were announced as the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Martinique succeeds last year's winner Axelle René who finished as third runner-up at Miss France 2023 last December in Châteauroux, Centre-Val de Loire. Miss France 2024 will take place on December 16 at the Zénith de Dijon in Dijon. Indira Ampiot from Guadeloupe will crown her successor at the end of the event.
