Miss Las Condes, Ambar Zenteno, was crowned Miss Mundo Chile 2022 (Miss World Chile) on Sunday, October 16 at Icon Hotel in the Las Condes district, Santiago. The 27-year-old engineer and travel enthusiast, who also won the Popular Vote and Beauty with a Purpose, succeeds last year's winner and Miss World semi-finalists Carol Drpic. Camila Vásquez of Santiago, a professional dancer and winner of Miss Talent, was announced as first runner-up. Rounding out the Top 6 finalists and also winners of fast track challenges were Sinaí Fardella of Molina (Popular Vote), Javiera Castro of Patagonia (Interview), Romina Vega of La Reina (Sports & Fitness), and Constanza Contreras of Chillán (Top Model). Miss Mundo Chile 2022 (Miss World Chile) national final will be held on Sunday, October 16 in Chile’s capital and largest city, Santiago. A total of 11 contestants will be vying for the national title and one of them succeeds Carol Drpic, last year's Miss Mundo Chile and Miss World semi-finalist. The next winner will represent the South American country at the 71st Miss World pageant in 2023. Who will be the next Miss Mundo Chile? Over 100 contestants from around the world will soon arrive in Puerto Rico, the Island of Enchantment, for the prestigious 70th edition of the Miss World pageant. The beauties will be accommodated at the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico in Río Grande, their official residence for the next four weeks of competition. Miss Patagonia, Carol Drpic, was crowned Miss Mundo Chile 2021 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Santiago last June 26. The 21-year-old kinesiology student and classical ballet dancer will represent Chile at the Miss World 2021 pageant to be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico this December.
