Valeria Pérez was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2024 (Miss World Puerto Rico 2024) on Saturday, April 6 at Centro de Bellas Artes de Humacao. The 22-year-old biology graduate hailing from Manatí bested 29 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds  Miss World Puerto Rico 2022 who placed in the Top 40 at the 71st Miss World , Elena Rivera. María Cepero of Aibonito and Mara Meléndez of Isabela were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Giselle Jiménez Osorio of Bayamón and Ninoshka Figueroa of Ciales rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The new Miss Mundo Puerto Rico will now prepare to represent Puerto Rico at the 72nd Miss World edition on a date and venue yet to be announced. Toa Baja representative Elena Rivera was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 (Miss World Puerto Rico 2022) during the national competition held on Thursday, June 30 at Centro de Bellas Artes de Caguas. Amanda Pérez Solis of Río Grande and Andrea Carolina Rivera of Lares were the first and second runners-up, respectively. A total of 30 contestants competed for the coveted national title and the right to represent Puerto Rico at the 71st Miss World pageant. Last year's titleholder Aryam Díaz Rosado crowned her successor at the end of the event. The new Miss World Puerto Rico is an 18-year-old fashion model and marketing student. Miss Mundo Naranjito Aryam Díaz Rosado was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2021 at the Alejandro Tapia Theater in Old San Juan on Saturday, April 24. The 22-year-old TV host and international model succeeded Daniella Rodríguez. She bested 16 other contestants to win the coveted national title. Miss Mundo San Juan, Bárbara Betancourt Cortés, and Miss Mundo Fajardo, Bianka Loriel, were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Miss Mundo Río Grande, Raishmar Carrillo, and Miss Mundo Rincón, Chelsey García, completed the Top 5. The new Miss Mundo Puerto Rico previously held the title Miss Teen Global Beauty International 2018.
