Victoria Velasquez Vincent was crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2024 in a national final on Sunday, September 29 at the Dorothy Winstone Centre in Auckland. The 29-year-old Filipina-Kiwi beauty will represent New Zealand at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico City this November. Gazelle Garcia and Inge Carolus were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Universe New Zealand previously competed in Miss Universe Philippines twice. She placed in the Top 5 in 2021 and Top 10 in 2024. Franki Russell to represent New Zealand at Miss Cosmo 2024

Kiwi-Filipina actress Franki Russell has been officially announced as Miss Cosmo New Zealand 2024 and will represent New Zealand at Miss Cosmo 2024. The 30-year-old was previously appointed Miss Universe New Zealand 2024 and was supposed to participate in Miss Universe 2024 this November in Mexico. Dubai-based Yugen PR, the license holder for Miss Universe New Zealand, decided to cancel following their non-compliance with a specific order from the Miss Universe Organization. The first ever Miss Cosmo New Zealand is a professional film and television actress who has starred in several movies and TV series in Asia and the Philippines. She is a brand ambassador, social media influencer, model, and cyberbullying advocate. Last May, she walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, the most prestigious film industry event in the world. New Zealand's franchise for Miss Universe dropped by Yugen PR

Dubai-based Yugen PR no longer holds the franchise for Miss Universe New Zealand 2024 according to an official statement released online today. The statement said: "As a result of our team's non-compliance with a specific order from the Miss Universe Organization, we have decided to cancel the franchise held by Yugen PR for Miss Universe New Zealand for 2024." Kiwi-Filipina actress Franki Russell was initially named as New Zealand's representative for the Miss Universe 2024 pageant, but now her national title has been taken off her official social media bio. Because of this unexpected twist, it's still uncertain if New Zealand will be represented at the 73rd Miss Universe to be held in Mexico this November. Miss New Zealand 2024 is Samantha Poole

Samantha Poole bested 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss New Zealand 2024 (Miss International New Zealand 2024) on Sunday, May 5 at Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna Beach. The 21-year-old model and digital design graduate of Auckland University of Technology will represent New Zealand at Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan later this year. "What an incredible night. I'm so grateful for all the messages and kind words, thank you for all the support. It all still feels surreal, but everyone on that stage had worked so hard to be there," she wrote on social media. Rovelyn Milford was named first runner-up and Miss Supranational New Zealand 2025. She is expected to participate in Miss Supranational 2025 in Poland. New Zealand returns to Miss Universe with Kiwi-Filipina Franki Russell

After a 4-year hiatus, New Zealand is set to return to the Miss Universe stage with the recently appointed Miss Universe New Zealand 2024 Franki Russell. The 29-year-old Kiwi-Filipina beauty was awarded the national title by this year's Miss Universe license holder for New Zealand, Dubai-based celebrity producer and publisher Josh Yugen. New Zealand was last represented at the Miss Universe pageant with Diamond Langi in 2019. The country has won the Miss Universe crown once with Lorraine Downes in 1983. Georgia Waddington was crowned Miss New Zealand 2023 (Miss International New Zealand 2023) last June 17 at the Bruce Mason Centre in Auckland. The 21-year-old beauty from Christchurch will now prepare to represent New Zealand at Miss International 2023 in Shibuya, Tokyo in Japan this October. She succeeds Lydia Smit, last year's representative who placed in the Top 15 and was awarded the continental title of Miss International Oceania. Aside from winning the national pageant, Georgia also bagged several special awards including Best in Evening Wear, Best in Swimwear, Miss Fitness, Top Model, Social Media Queen, and Charity Queen for her charitable efforts for I Am Hope and Brave. Miss Earth New Zealand 2023 is Caitlyn Dulcie from Auckland

Caitlyn Dulcie was crowned Miss Earth New Zealand 2023 on Saturday, May 27 at Te Pou Theatre in Henderson, Auckland. The 23-year-old model, dancer, and musician also bagged the Best In Judge’s Interview and Best in Talent special awards.  Her court of elemental queens consists of Mercedes Budd, Lelaine Dela Cruz, Alyssa Roberts, and Moya van Kooten. They were named Miss Earth Air, Water, Fire, and Land, respectively. Simran Madan, last year's winner who went on to compete in the Philippines last November, passed the crown to her successor at the end of the event. Caitlyn will now prepare to represent her island country at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam later this year. New Zealand has yet to win the Miss Earth title since joining the pageant for the first time in 2001.
