Alida Tomanič was crowned Miss Slovenije 2023 (Miss World Slovenia 2023) in a national competition held on Thursday, September 21 in Radlje ob Dravi. The 19-year-old architecture student from Ptuj bested 11 other finalists to win the national title. She is now expected to represent Slovenia at Miss World 2024. Her predecessor, last year's winner Vida Milivojša will go to the 72nd Miss World (Miss World 2023) in New Delhi, India this December. Aleksandra Matan was named first runner-up while Tijana Bektašević finished as the second runner-up. Pika Kenda, Nika Šalamon, Nada Hejja, and Ines Marjetič were awarded Miss Slovenian News, Miss Personality, Miss Photogenic, and Miss Congeniality, respectively. Vida Milivojša was crowned Miss Slovenije 2022 (Miss Slovenia) on Sunday, September 4 in the beautiful municipality of Braslovče. The 23-year-old beauty from Ljubljana bested 15 other finalists to win her national title. She is a dancer and student pursuing a degree in marketing communication and public relations. Hana Klaut, 26, and Talita Sofija Komelj, 22, were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. To live up to its theme "Podjetništvo na podeželju" (Entrepreneurship in the countryside), this year's national competition was held in a venue rich in cultural and natural heritage and is home to successful domestic companies. The new Miss Slovenije succeeds Maja Čolić and is now expected to represent her country at the 71st Miss World pageant on a date and venue yet to be announced. Maja Čolić was crowned Miss Slovenije 2020/21 in a national competition that took place last June 27 in Hrastnik. The 21-year-old beauty from Ribnica is a student of economics and international business. She bested 14 other contestants to win the national title. Lina Jenšac and Neža Simčič were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Maja succeded Miss Slovenije 2019 Špela Alič and will now prepare to represent Slovenia at the Miss World 2021 pageant later this year in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
