Emma Avanesyan to represent Armenia at Miss Universe 2024

Emma Avanesyan has been appointed the new Miss Universe Armenia 2024 and will soon head to Mexico to represent Armenia at Miss Universe 2024 this November. The 32-year-old Armenian model based in Moscow, Russia, was the third runner-up at the Miss Universe Armenia 2024 pageant. She replaced the original winner, Irina Zakharova , who was dethroned due to her nationality issues. According to the Miss Universe Organization, the former winner failed to meet the requirements stipulated in their license agreements. MUO also pointed out that the titleholder must possess a valid passport from the country she represents. The new Miss Universe Armenia is a founder of a modeling agency. She is a mother of one and apart from modeling she is also a singer and a modeling teacher. Irina Zakharova was crowned Miss Universe Armenia 2024 during the national competition recently held in Moscow, Russia. The 31-year-old lawyer and talented singer living in Yerevan will represent Armenia at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. "It is a great honor for me to represent Armenia in the final of the Miss Universe beauty pageant," said the new Miss Universe Armenia. "Armenia is a country with a rich history, national color, traditions, friendly people, and a unique way of life. I will do my utmost to honorably represent my beloved country," she added. Armenia last joined Miss Universe in 2022 with Kristina Ayanian. The country made its debut at the competition in 2018 with Eliza Muradyan. Miss Universe Armenia 2022 is Kristina Ayanian

Kristina Ayanian has been officially announced as Miss Universe Armenia 2022 on Wednesday, November 2, and will now represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant. The 25-year-old Bentley University graduate and a stock exchange company employee succeeded last year's titleholder Nane Avetisyan and will now prepare to travel to New Orleans, Louisiana, USA this January for the prestigious international competition. No stranger to pageantry, the talented classical pianist has been joining beauty competitions from a young age and won the titles Miss Boston Preteen, Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen and Miss Boston. Last year, she was named Miss Grand Armenia and went on to participate in Miss Grand International in Thailand. Armenia, a former Soviet republic in the mountainous Caucasus region between Asia and Europe, debuted at Miss Universe in 2018 with Eliza Muradyan. The country has yet to win the coveted crown. Miss Armenia 2021 national competition was held last Tuesday, September 21 in Yerevan where the Armenian representatives for this year's Miss Universe and Miss World pageants have been crowned. A 24-year-old lawyer from Yerevan, Nane Avetisyan, was named Miss Universe Armenia 2021. She will be sent to the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel this December. Mirna Bzdigian won the title of Miss World Armenia 2021. Armenia's Monika Grigoryan heads to US for the 69th Miss Universe pageant

Monika Grigoryan has departed for the USA on Thursday, April 29 to represent Armenia in the upcoming 69th Miss Universe pageant. "And finally off we go. I would like to express my gratitude to you for being always with me. It is a real privilege, that gives me the confidence to attain goals," she said in a post on her official social media page along with the photos of herself during her departure at the Zvartnots International Airport. The 21-year-old social science student from Yerevan was officially named Miss Universe Armenia 2020 last March. Monika Grigoryan has been officially named Miss Universe Armenia 2020. Miss Armenia organizers made the announcement on Monday, March 22. The 21-year-old model and student from Yerevan finished first runner-up at Miss World Armenia 2019. She succeeds Dayana Davtyan and will now prepare to represent her country at the 69th Miss Universe competition this May in Florida, USA. "Dreams are very important in our lives, they give us hope, illuminate, color our lives. Each of us can make our dreams come true by believing, making that dream a goal, and achieving it," she said in a caption to her official photo wearing her crown and sash.
