Kenza Ameloot crowned Miss Belgium 2024

Kenza Ameloot was crowned Miss Belgium 2024 in a national competition held last February 24 at the Proximus Theater (formerly Plopsa Theater) in De Panne. The 22-year-old international business student from Ghent bested over 30 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner, Miss Belgium 2023 Emilie Vansteenkiste. Estelle Toulemonde and Julie Mortier were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Arwen Van Gucht, Parnian Robatsarpooshi, and Marie Rousseaux rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The new Miss Belgium is expected to represent her country at the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) pageant in Mexico this November. A total of 32 contestants have been selected to compete for the national title and one of them will have the opportunity to represent Belgium at the next Miss Universe or Miss World or both. Miss Belgium 2023 is Emilie Vansteenkiste

Miss Vlaams-Brabant, Emilie Vansteenkiste, was crowned Miss Belgium 2023 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, February 11 at the Proximus Theater in De Panne. The 21-year-old Latin dancer and occupational therapy student originally from Elewijt in Flemish Brabant bested 31 other contestants to win the national title. She will either represent her country at Miss World or Miss Universe or both. Claire Lansenebre and Victoria Kembukuswa were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Cécile Deltour, Haifa Salem Ali, and Lena Forseille rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Last year's winner, Chayenne van Aarle was not able to pass the crown to her successor as she is still recovering from a serious car accident that happened a few days before the final competition. The show went as planned but faced some delays due to an arrest of a man in his 40s near the venue. He was suspected of an attack as he found a weapon in his possession and a second one in his vehicle.

Miss Belgium now recovering from serious injuries after car accident

Reigning Miss Belgium Chayenne Van Aarle was seriously injured after her car crashed into a truck outside Antwerp on Tuesday afternoon. The 23-year-old who competed in the 71st Miss Universe in New Orleans is due to relinquish her national title at Miss Belgium 2023 final this Saturday. According to reports, she was taken to the hospital unconscious from the sustained injuries on her face and the rest of her body but she is now in stable condition. The Miss Belgium Organization confirmed that the beauty queen is now "on the mend and everything is going to be fine" but in her current situation, it seems unlikely that she will crown her successor in the upcoming event. This was not the first car accident that happened to a national titleholder at the beginning of the year. Thirty-two beauties have been selected as official finalists for Miss Belgium 2023. The winner will have the opportunity to represent Belgium at the Miss Universe and/or Miss World pageants. The finalists are expected to be taken on a trip to Baron Resort in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, as part of their pageant activities leading up to the final show on February 11 at Proximus Theater in De Panne. Chayenne van Aarle to represent Belgium at 71st Miss Universe

Miss Belgium 2022 Chayenne van Aarle has now been officially confirmed to represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant. The 23-year-old bilingual flight attendant from Antwerp won her beauty title during the national competition held at the Proximus Theater in De Panne in March. "Chayenne grew up in a castle full of neglected animals, from which her love for animals was born. As a child, she walked among zebras, kangaroos, camels and alpacas," the Miss Belgium Organization posted about her on social media. "As the daughter of hard-working parents, she quickly became independent and can now put that strength to good use in her Miss Universe adventure." The upcoming Miss Universe edition will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on January 14. Chayenne van Aarle, 23, bested 29 other finalists to be crowned Miss Belgium 2022 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, March 26 at the Proximus Theater in De Panne. The bilingual flight attendant from Antwerp succeeds last year's winner Kedist Deltour and will either represent Belgium at the next Miss Universe or Miss World edition. Real estate agent Elle Leclercq, 22, from Lokeren was named the first runner-up while Silvana Spyros, 25, from Maasmechelen finished as the second runner-up. 70th Miss Universe: MUBA Cosmetics photoshoot with Belgium, India, Philippines, Spain and Vietnam

Five contestants were chosen by the 70th Miss Universe makeup sponsor, MUBA Cosmetics, for a special photoshoot on Thursday, December 2. They are Belgium's Kedist Deltour, India's Harnaaz Sandhu, Philippines' Beatrice Lugigi Gomez, Spain's Sarah Loinaz, and Vietnam's Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen. "MUBA photoshoot reflects on environmental sustainability and our impact on the world. The photo series spotlighting animal abstraction in danger of extinction, with cosmetic artistry inspired by the Pangolin, Red Panda, Angonoka Turtle, Military Macaw and Polar Bear," the makeup brand shared on its social media. "The MUBA cosmetics line is cruelty free and composed of all organic and natural materials. The models are styled in metallic vegan leather which compliments the MUBA eyeshadow pallet, Lucely."
