Daniela Toloza Rocha was crowned Miss Universe Colombia 2024 on Sunday, June 2 at Centro de convenciones Puerta de Oro in Barranquilla. The 30-year-old, representing the department of Valle del Cauca, beat 29 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds Camila Avella, last year's winner and Miss Universe 2023 Top 5 finalist. Huila's María Alejandra Salazar placed second and was named "virreina" while the contestants from Barranquilla, Kimberly Hooker, and Risaralda, Leidy Yuliana Gómez were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Mariana Zuleta of Antioquia, Leicy Rivas of Chocó, María Clara Cañavera of Córdoba and Yoselin Riascos of Tumaco were the Top 8 finalist. The Miss Universe Colombia 2024 selection and coronation night will be held on Sunday, June 2 at Centro de convenciones Puerta de Oro in Barranquilla. A preliminary competition will take place at the same venue on Friday, May 31 for the judges to determine who among the contestants will move forward to the semifinals. Thirty beauties representing different departments of Colombia are currently vying for the highly coveted national title currently held by last year's winner from Casanare,  Camila Avella . Camila was the first-ever mother to be crowned Miss Universe Colombia. She competed in Miss Universe 2023 and placed in the Top 5 last November in San Salvador, El Salvador.
