Miss Universe Iceland 2024 is Sóldís Vala Ívarsdóttir

Miss Árbær, Sóldís Vala Ívarsdóttir, was crowned Ungfrú Ísland 2024 (Miss Iceland/Miss Universe Iceland 2024) on Wednesday, August 14 at Gamla Bíó in Reykjavik. The 18-year-old beauty will now prepare to represent Iceland at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. She succeeds last year's winner Lilja Pétursdóttir. Emilía Þóra Ólafsdóttir of Grindavik was named Miss Supranational Iceland 2024 and will head to Miss Supranational 2025 in Poland next summer. Valeríja Rjabchuk of Reykjavik, Erika Líf Káradóttir of Kópavogur, and Harpa Rós Jónsdóttir of Þingvellir rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Lilja Síf Pétursdóttir was crowned Ungfrú Ísland 2023 (Miss Universe Iceland 2023) in a glittering competition held on Wednesday, August 16 at Gamla Bíó in Reykjavík. The 19-year-old nursing home employee representing Capital Region bested 15 other finalists to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir and will now prepare to represent Iceland at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) pageant to be held in El Salvador this November. Miss Universe Iceland 2022 Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir stunned in a red outfit while posing with her national flag as she departs Keflavík International Airport for the 71st Miss Universe pageant in the United States. "Humbled and honored to raise the Icelandic flag and represent my country," she shared on the official social media accounts of the Miss Universe Iceland pageant. The 18-year-old biology student who won Miss Universe Iceland 2022 last August in downtown Reykjavik will be in Miami for her final training and fittings before flying to New Orleans, Louisiana — the host city of the upcoming Miss Universe competition. The 18-year-old beauty representing East Reykjavík will now prepare to represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant. Miss East Reykjavík, Hrafnhildur Haraldsdottir bested 15 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Iceland 2022 on Wednesday, August 24 at Gamla Bíó in downtown Reykjavik. The 18-year-old student at the Commercial College of Iceland (Verzlunarskóli Íslands), who has her goal set on studying medicine after graduation and becoming a doctor, succeeds last year's winner Elísa Gróa Steinþórsdóttir. Miss Northern Lights, Isabella Þorvaldsdóttir, placed second while the representatives of Northern Iceland, Alexandra Andreyeva Tomasdottir; Grafarholt, Þorbjörg Kristinsdottir; and Gullfoss, Elva Björk Jónsdóttir, were in third, fourth and fifth places, respectively. Elísa Gróa Steinþórsdóttir was crowned Miss Universe Iceland 2021 in a glittering national competition held at the historic Gamla Bíó in Reykjavik on Wednesday, September 29. The 27-year-old dancer who hails from Gardabaer succeeds Elísabet Hulda Snorradóttir and will now prepare to represent Iceland at the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel this December. Iceland will be represented by Elísabet Hulda Snorradóttir in the upcoming 69th Miss Universe pageant in Hollywood, Florida, USA. The 22-year-old beauty is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chinese studies at the University of Iceland. Her fascination with travel and culture has led her to visit 20 countries and finance her own trips to Japan, South Korea, and China. She attended language school in Japan and speaks conversational Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin), and Korean. Her community service involvement in Iceland revolves around the Icelandic Red Cross and “Tölum Saman,” a program that teaches immigrants the Icelandic language so they can successfully enter the job markets and educational systems.
