Miss Universe Nicaragua 2024 is Geyssell García

Geyssell García has recently been announced as Miss Universe Nicaragua 2024 and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. The 29-year-old model and travel enthusiast from Santo Tomás, Chontales succeeds Sheynnis Palacios who achieved Nicaragua's historic first win at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador. No stranger to pageantry, Geyssell has competed in the Miss Nicaragua 2020 pageant where she emerged as the first runner-up. ""Being able to fulfill one of my greatest dreams is definitely a great blessing from God," said the new Miss Universe Nicaragua. Reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios arrives in India

Fresh from her trip to the Philippines, Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios arrived in India on Wednesday, April 8 to continue her Asia Tour. The Nicaraguan beauty queen was warmly welcomed early in the morning at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi by the new Miss Universe India team. The national license for the Miss Universe pageant in India was previously held by Miss Diva under its parent organization, Femina Miss India. Since February this year, it was taken over by the Glamanand Group with owner Nikhil Anand as the new national director. An independent Miss Universe India organization was established. Sheynnis has now checked in at Le Méridien, a 5-star hotel in New Delhi. She is expected to stay in the incredible country until May 9. From Bangkok, Thailand, the reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua continues her Asia Tour in the Philippines. Wearing a fuchsia one-shoulder dress, the beauty queen arrived on Wednesday, May 1 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 via Philippine Airlines. This is Sheynnis' first official visit to the Philippines since she was crowned the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) last November in El Salvador. She will remain in the country until Tuesday, May 7 to participate in various activities with the Miss Universe Philippines organization. Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios meets albino Thai buffalo Ko Muang Phet

Since she arrived in Bangkok, Thailand for her first official visit to the country this week, reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios has been busy with many activities scheduled for her. One of the highlights of her activities with reigning Miss Universe Thailand and Miss Universe 2023 first runner-up Anntonia Porsild was meeting Ko Muang Phet, an albino Thai buffalo. The famous buffalo recently made headlines after being sold for a whopping 18 million baht (US $1.5 million) at a fair in Thailand. According to The Nation , aside from its striking beauty and colossal size, the buffalo is known for its remarkable breeding capability because 90% of its offspring will be born with albino traits. Ko Muang Phet also made a mark in the entertainment world, starring as the character Ai Khlaow's buffalo in the most recent version of the popular "Mon Rak Luk Thung" TV drama. Reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios touched down in Bangkok, Thailand earlier this week to officially kick off her Asian tour. The Nicaraguan beauty, who bagged her country's first crown in El Salvador last November, reunited with her sister queen and Miss Universe 2023 first runner-up Anntonia Porsild. Aside from Thailand, Sheynnis is also expected to visit Laos, Cambodia, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and India. "I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love and support that I have received as we prepare to embark on this tour of Asia," the 72nd Miss Universe shared on social media. Nicaragua's Sheynnis Palacios to wear 'El Zanate' national costume for Miss Universe 2023

Miss Nicaragua 2023 (Miss Universe Nicaragua 2023) Sheynnis Palacios shared her national costume for the upcoming 72nd Miss Universe pageant. Designed by Jorge Salazar Caliz, Sheynnis' national costume was inspired by her likeness to the "El Zanate" (Nicaraguan grackle). The Nicaraguan grackle is a species of passerine bird in the family Icteridae endemic to Central America. This species lives only around the lakes of Nicaragua and in northern Costa Rica. In a post on social media, Miss Nicaragua shared in Spanish: "Opening my wings to the wind I am the elegant and beautiful grackle of jet black colors, with iridescent tones and beautiful song." The dark tones of the beautiful costume represent adversity and the iridescent sparkles mean there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Sheynnis Palacios was crowned Miss Nicaragua 2023 (Miss Universe Nicaragua 2023) on Saturday, August 5 at Centro de Convenciones del Hotel Crowne Plaza in Managua. The 23-year-old communications graduate and television host representing Diriamba bested 9 other competitors to win the national title. She succeeds Norma Huembes Salazar and will now represent Nicaragua at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador. Daysi Velásquez of Santa Lucía was named first runner-up while Isabella Salgado of Chinandega, Chantal Urbina of Granada, and Waymara Antonio of Puerto Cabezas were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Nicaragua will be represented at the 71st Miss Universe edition (Miss Universe 2022) by Norma Huembes, a 24-year-old public accountant from San Marcos, Carazo. Set between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, the Central American country is known for its dramatic terrain of lakes, volcanoes and beaches. Since its Miss Universe debut in 1955, only four women successfully placed in the competition courtesy of Beatriz Obregón in 1977 (Top 12), Xiomara Blandino in 2007 (Top 10), Nastassja Bolívar in 2013 (Top 16), and Ana Marcelo in 2020 (Top 21). This year's Miss Nicaragua / Miss Universe Nicaragua, who won her national title on August 6, is preparing to win her country's first Miss Universe later this year. The 24-year-old public accountant, representing Carazo, succeeds last year's winner Allison Wassmer and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2022. Katherine Burgos of Tipitapa was named first runner-up while Diana Navarro of Leon finished as second runner-up. Miss Universe Nicaragua 2021 is Allison Wassmer

Allison Wassmer was crowned Miss Nicaragua 2021 in a national competition held on Saturday, August 14 in Managua. The 26-year-old entrepreneur succeeds last year's winner and Miss Universe Top 21 Ana Marcelo. She represented Managua and bested six other finalists to win her title. Miss Rivas, Glennys Medina, and Miss Acoyapa, Zulema Bravo were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
