The ongoing "rivalry" between pageant fans from a few countries has lately seemed to have gotten out of control. In her latest Instagram story, Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi called out a lot of "edited photos, insults and threats" she is being flooded online. "I have seen quite a lot just today and now before going to sleep," she wrote. After the recent #UniverseUnited conversation she had with Miss Universe Indonesia 2022 Laksmi Shari De Neefe Suardana and Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart, Celeste was hoping this "unnecessary cyberbullying would somehow stop or lessen." A new crown was unveiled by Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPH) at its gala night held at Hilton Manila in Pasay City on Tuesday, April 19. The pageant organization partnered with international luxury brand Jewelmer to envision the La Mer En Majesté crown as an homage to the sea. During the launching of the first and so far the only Filipino wax figure to be featured in the Singapore museum, the former Miss Universe looked stunning in a metal assemblage dress by Jaggy Glarino. The game is officially on for Miss Universe Philippines 2022 as the Top 50 official delegates have been announced today on the pageant's official social media page. From 50, only 30 will move on to the final competition on April 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila. The winner will represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2022. The Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) organization has already announced April 30 as the official date for the coronation night of this year's national competition. The application process has also been officially opened. To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 and under 28 years old at the time of the pageant, a Filipino citizen and Philippines passport holder, female, never been married, and never have been pregnant. No minimum height is required.
