Miss Universe Thailand 2024 Suchata "Opal" Chuangsri departed Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday night aboard Turkish Airlines to Mexico for Miss Universe 2024. Fans flocked to the Suvarnabhumi International Airport for her departure. Former MUT titleholders Anntonia Porsild and Anna Sueangam-iam were also present to show their support. "Thank you so much everyone for coming, thank you for your love and support. It is truly a dream come true to be wearing Thailand sash across my heart and I promise to raise our flag high," she wrote online. Opal Suchata Chuangsri was crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2024 following a spectacular competition held on Sunday, July 14 at the MCC Hall, The Mall Lifestore Bangkapi in Bangkok. The 20-year-old beauty from Bangkok beat 39 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent Thailand at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. Surisa Suzana Renaud of Phuket was announced as the first runner-up while Karnruethai Tassabut of Ubon Ratchathani finished as the second runner-up. The representatives of Maha Sarakham, Boonyisa Chantrarachai, and Samut Songkhram, Maitai Suriyayunyong were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively. This year's competition which was themed "Beyond Universe" marked the 25th edition of the annual Miss Universe Thailand pageant. A new Mouawad crown has been unveiled for Miss Universe Thailand 2024 during the "Ignite the Night" event on Thursday, June 20 at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit. Reigning Miss Universe Thailand and Mis Universe 2023 first runner-up Anntonia Porsild reunited with Michelle Dee when she touched down in the Philippines for the first time on Monday, January 29. The Thai beauty was also welcomed by "PorDee" fans and members of the media who flocked to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 for her arrival. Anntonia Porsild bested over 50 other competitors to be crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2023 in a glittering competition held on Sunday, August 20 at MCC Hall, The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi. The 26-year-old Thai-Danish model representing Nakhon Ratchasima succeeds last year's winner Anna Sueangam-iam and will now prepare to represent Thailand at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November.
