Vietnam's first Miss International receives warm homecoming celebration

Vietnam's Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy has received a warm homecoming celebration after winning her country's first Miss International last week in Tokyo, Japan. Fans flocked to the international airport in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday, November 18 to welcome the 22-year-old beauty from Danang. Thuy made history for Vietnam after beating 70 other contestants to win the 62nd Miss International on November 12 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. In a heartfelt post after her crowning, the beauty queen expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support she received throughout her journey to the international stage. Vietnam's Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy crowned Miss International 2024

Vietnam's Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was crowned Miss International 2024 on Tuesday, November 12 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan. The 22-year-old beauty from Da Nang became the first ever Vietnamese woman to become Miss International. She succeeds last year's winner Andrea Rubio from Venezuela. Camila Roca of Bolivia was named first runner-up while Alba Pérez of Spain, Sakra Guerrero of Venezuela, and Sophie Kirana of Indonesia finished as the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Alina Dementjeva of the Czech Republic, Samantha Poole of New Zealand, and Ewa Jakubiec of Poland completed the Top 8 finalists. Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 is Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen

Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 during the national competition held on Saturday, September 14 at the Phu Tho Indoor Sport Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. The 28-year-old model from Nam Dinh will now prepare to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. She succeeds last year's winner Quynh Hoa Bui. Nguyen Quynh Anh and Vu Thuy Quynh were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Paris Bao Nhi and Quach Tapiau Maily were the rest of the Top 5 finalists. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Universe Vietnam is a former Miss Vietnam winner in 2014. Last year, she was a mentor in season 4 of "The Face Vietnam," a Vietnamese modeling-themed reality TV series. Miss Earth 2023: Vietnam's Do Thi Lan Anh wins Best in National Costume

Vietnam's Do Thi Lan Anh has been announced the winner of the Best in National Costume during the Miss Earth 2023 finals and coronation on Friday, December 22 at Van Phuc City. Designed by the talented Vietnamese fashion designer Nguyen Tien Truyen, her "Nu Vuong" costume was showcased during the preliminary competition held on December 16 at the Van Thanh Flower Village in Dalat. "A deeper love for my Vietnamese heritage that is full of wonder and beauty. It feels surreal that I was given the opportunity to showcase a part of my nation’s history and honor the Vietnamese heroes of the past," she shared online. Chile's Ximena Huala, Indonesia's Cindy Inanto, Philippines' Yllana Marie Aduana, and Venezuela's Jhosskaren Smiller were the rest of the Top 5 for the award. Do Thi Lan Anh was crowned Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 in a glittering national competition held on Saturday, October 14 at the White Palace Vo Van Kiet in Ho Chi Minh City. The 26-year-old beauty edged out 29 other contestants to win the national title. She will now represent Vietnam at Miss Earth 2023 this December. Her court of elemental queens includes Nguyen Thi Thu Trang (Miss Air), Hoang Thi Yen Nhi (Miss Water), and Hoang Thi Kim Chi (Miss Fire). The Top 11 consisted of Nguyen Thi Quynh Trang, Nguyen Thi Nhu Nguyet, Nguyen Thi Thu Cuc, Do Thuy Dung, Tracy Le Nguyen, Cao Thi Ngoc Bich, and Nguyen Le Diep Quyen. Miss Earth 2022 queens to attend Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 grand final

Three queens from  Miss Earth 2022 , Mina Sue Choi of Korea, Andrea Aguilera of Colombia, and Sheridan Mortlock of Australia touched down in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam earlier this week. They were invited to attend as special guests for the upcoming national final of the Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 pageant. This is the first time since the beauties came together after the 22nd Miss Earth competition held last year in the Philippines. It is not known why Nadeen Ayoub of Palestine, one of the Top 4, could not join them. Mina and Sheridan both attended the Miss Divine Beauty 2023 (Miss Earth India 2023) final show in New Delhi, India last August. The four queens are expected to relinquish their crowns as Miss Earth, Miss Earth Fire, Miss Earth Air, and Miss Earth Water during the Miss Earth 2023 final in Vietnam this December. Bui Quynh Hoa triumphed over 17 other competitors to win Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 on Friday, September 29 at the Hoa Binh Theater in Ho Chi Minh City. The 25-year-old model and entrepreneur from Hanoi will now prepare to represent Vietnam at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador this coming November. Nguyen Thi Huong Ly and Trinh Thi Hong Dang were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Emma Le, Lydie Vu, and Pham Thi Anh Thu were the rest of the Top 6 finalists. The Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 pageant held its swimsuit competition on Saturday, September 23 at The Grand Ho Tram in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Wearing their official swimsuits from XITA by Katy Nguyen, the Top 18 contestants fiercely strutted the runway to earn a spot in the Top 5. At the end of the event, the five beauties who impressed the judges were Pham Thi Anh Thu (Ha Nam), Nguyen Thi Huong Ly (Gia Lai), Trinh Thi Hong Dang (HCMC), Lydie Vu (HCMC) and Bui Quynh Hoa (Hanoi). The Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 pageant has officially kicked off in an official press conference held on Monday, September 18 at the Lotte Hotel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City. Eighteen contestants selected to compete for this year's title have been officially introduced to the media — Huong Ly, Emma Le, Lydie Vu, Lan Anh, Diem My, Kim Anh, Quynh Nhu, Le Nam, Anh Nguyet, Mai Phuong Thao, Nhat Le, Dinh Thi Hoa, Bui Quynh Hoa, Pham Thu, Thu Uyên, Ngoc Mai, Hong Dang, and Lan Anh va H'Duyen. A new crown called "Life in the Sunrise" by Jessica Jewelry was also unveiled during the special event. It was crafted with natural topaz and sapphire, and worth over 2 billion Vietnamese dong. The winner of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023, to be crowned later this month, will represent the Southeast Asian country at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador this November. Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 is Le Hoang Phuong

Le Hoang Phuong was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 in a national competition held on Sunday, August 27 at the Phu Tho Indoor Sport Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. The 28-year-old fashion model and architecture graduate from Khanh Hoa province bested over 40 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Doan Thien An and will now prepare to compete in the Miss Grand International 2023 pageant to be held in her country this October. Bui Khanh Linh was named first runner-up while Truong Qui Minh Nhan, Le Thi Hong Hanh, and Dang Hoang Tam Nhu were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Reigning Miss Grand International Isabella Menin from Brazil graced the glittering event as a special guest with MGI executives Nawat Itsaragrisil and Teresa Chaivisut. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Grand Vietnam is a former contestant at Miss Universe Vietnam. She placed in the Top 5 in 2022 and bagged the Best in Swimsuit and Best Face in 2019.

The 21-year-old business administration student from Binh Dinh bested 39 other competitors to bag the national title. She was also announced the winner of the Top Model challenge. Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 was officially launched in a special press conference held on Wednesday, June 19 at Caravelle Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City. Reigning Miss Earth Mina Sue Choi of Korea was honored as ambassador during the event organized by TNA Entertainment under the leadership of the entrepreneur, actress, and president of Miss Earth Vietnam Truong Ngoc Anh. The national competition will kick off official casting in August and the winner is expected to participate in the Miss Earth 2023 to be held in the country this December.
