Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuy Thuc Tien and Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska arrived on Thursday, August 25 at Kota Kinabalu International Airport, in Sabah, Malaysia. Joined by Miss Grand International Organization's Nawat Itsaragrisil and Teresa Chaivisut, the queens were warmly welcomed by the fans and national pageant organizers during their arrival in the country. The Miss World Organization has announced the Digital Media Challenge where the Top 40 contestants were asked to promote their journey at the Miss World pageant through their individual websites at missworld.com . Web promotion should include their friendships and experiences at Miss World, their hopes after reaching the Top 40, messages of support or congratulations they have received from home, and the Beauty With A Purpose presentation including a full description of the progress made on their project, however, the contestants were also encouraged to come up with their own original ideas and designs to create the best website to share with the world. Miss World 2021 temporarily postpones global broadcast finale in Puerto Rico due to health and safety interests of contestants, staff, crew, and general public. The finale will be rescheduled at Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot within the next 90 days. SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - After meeting with the virologists and medical experts hired to oversee the Miss World 2021 event and discussing with the Puerto Rico Health Department, the decision has been made by the organizers of the event to postpone the globally broadcast finale at the Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot to be held within the next 90 days. Several Miss World 2021 contestants have tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be permitted to appear on stage this Thursday at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. While none of those who tested positive required hospitalization, they have to follow a mandatory 10-day isolation period according to the spokesperson of Puerto Rico's health department. Julia Morley, CEO of the Miss World Organization, also said they are following national guidelines and if the contestants don't produce a negative molecular PCR test, they won't be on stage for the final show.
