The Miss Czech Republic 2024 concluded on Saturday, May 11 with Adéla Štroffeková winning the national title from a field of 10 finalists. The 21-year-old model from Prague, who was also named Miss World Czech Republic 2024, received her crown from reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszková. Hosted by Ondrej Novotny, this year's event marked the 15th anniversary of the annual Miss Czech Republic pageant. Four other worthy finalists were also crowned as representatives of the country for various international competitions. They are Veronica Biasiol (Miss Grand Czech Republic 2024), Michaela Macháčková (Miss Supranational Czech Republic 2025), Alina Demenťjeva (Miss International Czech Republic 2024), and Julie Smékalová (Miss Intercontinental Czech Republic 2024). The Miss Czech Republic 2024 grand final will be held this Saturday, May 11 at Forum Karlín in Prague. A total of 10 finalists will be competing for the national title. The winner is expected to represent the Czech Republic at the 72nd Miss World. This year's event to be hosted by Ondrej Novotny will be the 15th anniversary edition of the annual Miss Czech Republic pageant. Former winner and Czech Republic's first Miss World Taťána Kuchařová will join CEO Taťána Makarenko and Creative Director Sam Dolce on the selection committee. Reigning Miss World and Miss Czech Republic 2022 Krystyna Pyszková has also been announced to be part of the esteemed panel of judges. Following her victorious stint at the 71st Miss World in India, Krystyna Pyszková returned home on Sunday, March 24 to a warm homecoming in Czech Republic. Fresh from London, the beauty queen touched down in Prague where she was warmly received by her family, friends, and the media. Also present during her arrival at the airport were Miss Czech Republic national director Taťána Makarenko and her team. The next day, Monday, March 25, a homecoming press conference was held for the new Miss World at The Old Town Hall in her country's capital city. Apart from media tours, her busy schedule also included meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavský, at the Czernin Palace, and the Minister of Justice, Pavel Blažek. Czech Republic's Krystyna Pyszková was crowned the 71st Miss World in a glittering festival held on Saturday, March 9 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India. The 24-year-old model and student from Třince bested more than 100 other beauties to win the coveted title. She became the second Czech woman to become Miss World next to Taťána Kuchařová who won in 2006. Aside from modeling, Krystyna is currently pursuing her degrees in law and business administration. She is an advocate for education and is passionate about arts and music. The 71st Miss World was hosted by former Miss World from the Philippines, Megan Young, and Indian filmmaker Karan Johar. This year's spectacular event marked the return of the festival in India after 28 years. The Miss Czech Republic organization officially opened the registration for the Miss Czech Republic 2023 edition earlier this month. Applicants must be 17 to 25 years old and hold Czech citizenship. Other nationalities can also apply but they must have already been granted permanent residence at the time of registration. Castings will kick off on September 9 in Prague. Registration forms as well as the casting schedules and locations are available at the Miss Czech Republic official website . Details on the challenges, eliminations, and training sessions abroad are yet to be announced. The final show will be held in Prague and will be broadcast via TV NOVA on a date that has also yet to be announced. Miss Czech Republic winner receives prizes including a year's rent of an apartment in Prague, a luxury car from Mercedes-Benz, and a 3-year work contract with Miss Factory.
