Maria Amélia Baptista was crowned Miss Portuguesa 2024 (Miss World Portugal) on Saturday, July 27 at Cineteatro Messias in Mealhada. The 26-year-old businesswoman hailing from Brazil bested 11 other finalists to win the national title. She will prepare to represent Portugal at the 72nd Miss World. Celine Rodrigues and Beatriz Nogueira were the first and second runners-up, respectively. They are expected to be appointed to compete in the next Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International competitions. Yeniffer Campos was crowned Miss Portuguesa 2023 in a glittering national competition on Saturday, September 16 at Cine-Teatro Messias in Mealhada. The 33-year-old personal trainer and Zumba instructor from Oeiras bested 11 other finalists to win the national title. Sophia Lodmell, 21, from New York, and Ana Luísa Silva, 16, from Lisbon, were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. This year's competition marked the 12th edition of the Miss Portuguesa pageant. The winners are expected to represent Portugal at Miss World, Miss Supranational, and Miss Grand International pageants.
