Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2024 is Valeria Pérez from Manatí

Valeria Pérez was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2024 (Miss World Puerto Rico 2024) on Saturday, April 6 at Centro de Bellas Artes de Humacao. The 22-year-old biology graduate hailing from Manatí bested 29 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds  Miss World Puerto Rico 2022 who placed in the Top 40 at the 71st Miss World , Elena Rivera. María Cepero of Aibonito and Mara Meléndez of Isabela were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Giselle Jiménez Osorio of Bayamón and Ninoshka Figueroa of Ciales rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The new Miss Mundo Puerto Rico will now prepare to represent Puerto Rico at the 72nd Miss World edition on a date and venue yet to be announced. Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 is Elena Rivera of Toa Baja

Toa Baja representative Elena Rivera was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 (Miss World Puerto Rico 2022) during the national competition held on Thursday, June 30 at Centro de Bellas Artes de Caguas. Amanda Pérez Solis of Río Grande and Andrea Carolina Rivera of Lares were the first and second runners-up, respectively. A total of 30 contestants competed for the coveted national title and the right to represent Puerto Rico at the 71st Miss World pageant. Last year's titleholder Aryam Díaz Rosado crowned her successor at the end of the event. The new Miss World Puerto Rico is an 18-year-old fashion model and marketing student. Former Miss World Stephanie Del Valle Diaz: 'I will not be participating in the Miss World 2021 final'

Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle Diaz has made an announcement on Monday, February 28 that she will not be participating in the Miss World 2021 final, which is scheduled to be held this March 17 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Puerto Rican model, singer, actress, and philanthropist took to social media to post a statement for her "dear Puerto Rico and fans around the world." "It is unethical and against my moral principles to continue working with an organization that has acted in a defamatory, frivolous, and unfair manner; solely for the purpose of harm. Something I still can't understand. That is why, with great sadness, I make a decision that I never thought I would reach. I share with you that I will not participate in the events related to the organization of the MW 2021 contest," she wrote in her statement. Former Miss World Stephanie Del Valle Diaz releases statement on 'defamatory allegations' against her and her foundation

Following a "frivolous and malicious lawsuit" filed against her and her Reignite Puerto Rico foundation, Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle Diaz took to social media to release an official statement. Last year, the Puerto Rican beauty was appointed by Miss World CEO Julia Morley to lead the negotiations for the hosting of the 70th Miss World pageant in Puerto Rico, whose aim was to generate exposure to the island, attract events of economic impact and help major social causes. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 concerns, the final show was canceled last December and rescheduled to be held this March with only the Top 40 semi-finalists are expected to return to compete for the coveted title.
