Al Sivka was proclaimed the winner of Mister Slovenije (Mister Slovenia) 2022 during the national final on Sunday, December 4 at the Šentjakob Theater in Ljubljana. The 19-year-old model from Izola beat 11 other finalists to win the national title. He succeeds last year's winner Sebastian Čufer and will now prepare to represent Slovenia at the 8th Mister Global pageant in Thailand. "I still cannot describe the feelings I had when receiving the title of Mister Slovenia 2022. I would like to thank everyone that motivated and supported me on the way to this achievement," he wrote on social media. Rounded out the Top 5 finalists were Martin Peternelj, Leo Krajnc, Kristijan Plesec, and Sven Arnautovič Holobar. Sebastian Čufer was named Mister Slovenije 2021 (Mister Slovenia) in a competition that was streamed on Friday, May 14 on the pageant's official social media page. The 25-year-old sports enthusiast from Tolmin succeeded Mister Slovenije 2019 Simon Blažević. He edged out seven other finalists to win his national title. "It is impossible to describe in words how happy and grateful I am for this experience, which really gave me a lot. For me, this was something completely new, and in the end, I can say that I got a lot more from the project itself than I expected," he shared online shortly after the competition. Another title winner in the event is a 23-year-old from Šmarje-Sap, Tadej Polajžer. He was named Mister Cosmo 2021.
