Miss Namibia 2024 is Prisca Anyolo from Windhoek

Prisca Anyolo was crowned Miss Namibia 2024 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, July 20 in the historic town of Lüderitz. The 28-year-old award-winning journalist and television presenter from Windhoek bested nine other finalists to win the coveted national title. She succeeds Jameela Uiras, last year's winner who made the Top 20 at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador last November. Lenna Mugena and Georgia Garises were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Jodie-Lee Barnard and Naomi Kamenye rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Miss Namibia 2024: Meet the Top 10 finalists

From the Top 20, only 10 finalists have been selected to continue their journey to the Miss Namibia 2024 crown. The Top 10 were officially revealed during the preliminary competition held on Saturday, May 11 at Droombos Windhoek. This year's much-awaited final competition date and venue have yet to be announced. The Miss Namibia organization headed by Umbi Karuaihe-Upi currently holds the national license for Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth pageants. Last year's winner Jameela Uiras went to Miss Universe 2023 last November in El Salvador where she placed in the Top 20. Due to Miss World rules, Namibia's next Miss World representative has to be a national winner. Last year's first runner-up, Albertina Haimbala, was designated for Miss Earth 2024 instead of the 72nd Miss World. Albertina Haimbala to represent Namibia at Miss Earth 2024

The Miss Namibia Organization (MNO) has officially announced Albertina Haimbala as Namibia's representative for Miss Earth 2024 later this year. Albertina, a 24-year-old marketing management graduate, was the first runner-up at Miss Namibia 2023. She was previously designated to participate in the 72nd Miss World. According to the MNO, the Miss World organization now strictly enforces its standing rule that only the national winner can participate in the Miss World competition. The rule also stipulates that the first runner-up can only participate when the national winner is unable to and/or incapacitated. CEO Umbi Karuaihe-Upi said: "There are rules and requirements that we have no control over, including the postponement of international beauty pageants. Hence, as license franchise holders, we must abide by them." The winners of the annual Miss Namibia pageant are usually sent to Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Earth. Jameela Uiras bested nine other finalists to win Miss Namibia 2023 (Miss Universe Namibia 2023) on Saturday, July 8 at the MTC Dome in Swakopmund. The 23-year-old fashion model and marketing strategist from Windhoek also bagged the Miss Photogenic award. She succeeds last year's winner Cassia Sharpley and will now prepare to represent Namibia at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador. Albertina Haimbala, 23, from Mount Etjo, and Martha Kautanevali, 26, from Ohangwena, were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Miss Namibia 2023: Meet the Top 10 finalists

From the 30 semifinalists revealed on March 25, only the Top 10 will now proceed to the grand final on July 8 at the MTC Dome in Swakopmund. The official announcement of the finalists came after the preliminary show held on Saturday, May 13 at the Droombos Vineyard Country Lodge in Windhoek. Miss Earth Namibia 2022 is Diana Andimba

Diana Andimba (left) has been officially announced as Miss Earth Namibia 2022 on Monday, September 12, and she will go to the Philippines to compete for Miss Earth 2022 this November. The 23-year-old philanthropist, aspiring chef, and architect in training from Windhoek was the second runner-up during Miss Namibia 2022 pageant held last August 12 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino. For the first time in Miss Namibia's history, four representatives will represent Namibia on the global stage. Miss Namibia 2022 Cassia Sharpley, 21, will go to 71st Miss Universe, first runner-up Leone Van Jaarsveld, 26, to 71st Miss World, and Miss Teen Namibia Zoe Karsten, 17, to Miss Teen International 2022. Cassia Sharpley, 21, from Windhoek, bested 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss Namibia 2022 on Friday, August 12 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino. Leoné Van Jaarsveld, 26, from Swakopmund was named first runner-up while Diana Andimba, 23, from Windhoek finished as second runner-up. The new Miss Namibia is a basic life support paramedic and student at Namibia University of Science and Technology pursuing a degree in emergency medical care (advanced life support). As a poverty eradication activist, Cassia founded the Honey Comb Haven Foundation to help the less fortunate members of her community. Last year's winner, Chelsi Shikongo, relinquished her crown to her successor at the end of the competition. Miss Supranational 2021 Chanique Rabe arrived in Guayaquil, Ecuador earlier this week as a special guest in the upcoming CNB Ecuador 2022 (Concurso Nacional de Belleza) pageant. The Namibian beauty was also part of the panel of judges who are tasked to choose the next Ecuadorian representative at Miss Supranational 2022 in Poland this July. The second edition of the Miss Supranational Namibia pageant was held last Saturday, March 26 at the Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) in Windhoek. Julita Kitwe Mbangula, a 26-year-old junior medical doctor was crowned Miss Supranational Nambia 2022 while a 3-year-old radio presenter from Windhoek, Jean-Louis Knouwds, was named Mister Supranational Namibia 2022. They will represent their Southern African country at the next Miss Supranational and Mister Supranational competitions in Poland this July. Miss Supranational 2021 is Namibia's Chanique Rabe

Chanique Rabe of Namibia bested 57 other contestants to win Miss Supranational 2021 on Saturday, August 21 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland. The 24-year-old beauty who was born and raised in Windhoek is an ambassador for Hope Village Orphanage and she teaches sewing to children through her own charity project called The Mending Project. Karla Guilfú Acevedo of Puerto Rico and Thato Mosehle of South Africa were the first and second runners-up respectively while Valentina Sánchez of Venezuela was the third runner-up, and Eoanna Constanza of Dominican was fourth runner-up. The new Miss Supranational is no stranger to pageantry as she previously held the titles Miss Teen Namibia 2014 and Miss Teen Continents 2015. Miss Namibia 2021 is Chelsi Shikongo

Chelsi Shikongo edged out 14 other finalists to be crowned Miss Namibia 2021 on Saturday, June 5 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino. The 23-year-old beauty from Walvis Bay is an international model, full-time creator, and activist who founded I Can Say No, an empowerment campaign that promotes inclusive education. "I'm overwhelmed, I did not expect this, honestly, and I'm just excited to be representing Namibia as a goodwill ambassador," she said in an interview shortly after winning her title. Annerrie Mare and Michelle Mukuve were the first and second princesses, respectively, while Aurelia Samuyenga and Chane Ann Marshall finished in the Top 5. Miss Namibia organizers have yet to announce if Chelsi will be representing Nambia at Miss Universe or Miss World. Her predecessor, Nadja Breytenbach, was sent to the Miss Universe 2019 pageant.
