Following the successful staging of Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 in Jakarta, the Miss Universe Indonesia Organization has just announced a significant change in its competition rules. National director and owner Poppy Capella released an official statement on Monday, August 7 regarding her decision to remove the minimum height requirement as there were concerns several provincial winners did not meet the previous qualification. "This change is not merely a response to the outcomes of the early-stage provincial events, but also a reflection of our commitment to inclusivity at both the provincial and national levels," she clarified. "These events were organized in good faith, and it would be unjust to disqualify their winners based on a criterion that can be considered non-essential."
