The Nuestra Belleza Puerto Rico 2022 final competition was held on Sunday, June 5 at Teatro Alejandro Tapia y Rivera in San Juan. San Sebastian's Paola González Torres, a 23-year-old chemistry student, was named Miss International Puerto Rico 2022. She succeeds last year's titleholder Natalia Colón and is expected to represent Puerto Rico at Miss International 2022 pageant in Japan later this year. Vivianie Diaz Arroyo and Karla Guilfú also crowned their successors - Miss Supranational Puerto Rico 2022 Ariette Banchs, 23, from Ponce, and Miss Grand Puerto Rico 2022 Oxana Rivera, 27, from Dorado. They will respectively be sent to Miss Supranational 2022 in Poland this July, and Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia this October. Following a "frivolous and malicious lawsuit" filed against her and her Reignite Puerto Rico foundation, Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle Diaz took to social media to release an official statement. Last year, the Puerto Rican beauty was appointed by Miss World CEO Julia Morley to lead the negotiations for the hosting of the 70th Miss World pageant in Puerto Rico, whose aim was to generate exposure to the island, attract events of economic impact and help major social causes. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 concerns, the final show was canceled last December and rescheduled to be held this March with only the Top 40 semi-finalists are expected to return to compete for the coveted title. Miss Earth Carolina, Paulina Avilés, was crowned Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2022 in a national competition held on Sunday, January 30 at the Centro de Bellas Artes de San Sebastián. The 20-year-old architecture student at the University of Puerto Rico - Río Piedras bested 20 other contestants to win her beauty title. She succeeds last year's winner, Cristina Mariel, and will now prepare to represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Earth 2022 pageant later this year. Miss Earth Coamo, Natalia Andrea, Miss Earth Cayey, Annais Rojas, and Miss Earth Arecibo, Valeria Classen, completed the Top 4 finalists / elemental court. Miss World Organization will announce today the official Top 40 contestants who will return to compete at the 70th Miss World final in Puerto Rico this March. Fifteen contestants have already secured their places in the Top 40 after winning the fast track events such as the Head to Head Challenge, Talent, Top Model, Sports, and Beauty With A Purpose, while the 25 remaining contestants who were chosen by the judges will be revealed within the day. Miss World 2021 temporarily postpones global broadcast finale in Puerto Rico due to health and safety interests of contestants, staff, crew, and general public. The finale will be rescheduled at Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot within the next 90 days. SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - After meeting with the virologists and medical experts hired to oversee the Miss World 2021 event and discussing with the Puerto Rico Health Department, the decision has been made by the organizers of the event to postpone the globally broadcast finale at the Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot to be held within the next 90 days. Miss World 2021: Several contestants test positive for COVID-19

Several Miss World 2021 contestants have tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be permitted to appear on stage this Thursday at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. While none of those who tested positive required hospitalization, they have to follow a mandatory 10-day isolation period according to the spokesperson of Puerto Rico's health department. Julia Morley, CEO of the Miss World Organization, also said they are following national guidelines and if the contestants don't produce a negative molecular PCR test, they won't be on stage for the final show. Beauty With A Purpose is an event established in the 70s that is celebrated during the activities prior to the Miss World pageant. After a busy couple of weeks interviewing each contestant in this year's Miss World Head to Head Challenge and the public votes have been tallied, the winners were finally revealed on Thursday, December 9 at the Capitolio De Puerto Rico in San Juan. The winners are contestants from Botswana , Palesa Mofele, Cameroon , Audrey Monkam, Cote D'Ivoire , Olivia Yacé, Nepal , Namrata Shrestha, Nicaragua , Sheynnis Palacios, Paraguay , Bethania Borba, Philippines , Tracy Perez, and Venezuela , Alejandra Conde. Miss World Cayman Islands, Colombia, Haiti, Indonesia, Mexico, Mongolia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Vietnam were the rest of the Top 16. Olivia Yacé of Cote D'Ivoire has won the Miss World 2021 Top Model competition held on Monday, December 6 where each contestant had the opportunity to showcase their best catwalk while wearing both national dress and designs made by Puerto Rican designers. The 23-year-old beauty will automatically advance to the quarter-final of the 70th Miss World final on Thursday, December 16 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Cameroon's Audrey Monkam and Puerto Rico's Aryam Díaz were in second and third places, respectively, while the representatives of Bahamas, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, France, Kenya, Mexico, Nicaragua, Poland, Venezuela, and Vietnam completed the Top 13. Miss World 2021: Contestants visit Sala Sinfónica Pablo Casals

Miss World 2021 contestants' adventure in sunny Puerto Rico continued with a visit to the Sala sinfónica Pablo Casals in San Juan to attend a classical concert. Los Cuentos De “Mi Madre La Oca” translated as the Stories of Mother Goose was directed by the talented Karlo Flores, who took the beauties on a journey with both vocal and musical storytelling. The reigning Miss World Toni-Ann Singh also joined the contestants together with Mr World Jack Heslewood and former Miss World winners Stephanie Del Valle and Vanessa Ponce. “The comedic ending was fun to watch. Certain folk tale endings were twisted, for example in the Princess and the Pea, the pea turned to soup.
