Monika Čavlović was crowned Miss Earth Slovenia 2023 in a glittering national competition held on Saturday, September 23 at the Festival Hall in Ljubljana. The 23-year-old model and social sciences student from Nova Gorica bested 11 other finalists to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Lea Prstec who placed in the Top 20 at Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines. Monika will now prepare to represent Slovenia at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam this December. Slovenia has yet to win Miss Earth since its debut at the international pageant in 2023. Its highest placement was in the Top 12 with Danijela Burjan in 2018. Alida Tomanič was crowned Miss Slovenije 2023 (Miss World Slovenia 2023) in a national competition held on Thursday, September 21 in Radlje ob Dravi. The 19-year-old architecture student from Ptuj bested 11 other finalists to win the national title. She is now expected to represent Slovenia at Miss World 2024. Her predecessor, last year's winner Vida Milivojša will go to the 72nd Miss World (Miss World 2023) in New Delhi, India this December. Aleksandra Matan was named first runner-up while Tijana Bektašević finished as the second runner-up. Pika Kenda, Nika Šalamon, Nada Hejja, and Ines Marjetič were awarded Miss Slovenian News, Miss Personality, Miss Photogenic, and Miss Congeniality, respectively. Al Sivka was proclaimed the winner of Mister Slovenije (Mister Slovenia) 2022 during the national final on Sunday, December 4 at the Šentjakob Theater in Ljubljana. The 19-year-old model from Izola beat 11 other finalists to win the national title. He succeeds last year's winner Sebastian Čufer and will now prepare to represent Slovenia at the 8th Mister Global pageant in Thailand. "I still cannot describe the feelings I had when receiving the title of Mister Slovenia 2022. I would like to thank everyone that motivated and supported me on the way to this achievement," he wrote on social media. Rounded out the Top 5 finalists were Martin Peternelj, Leo Krajnc, Kristijan Plesec, and Sven Arnautovič Holobar. The 21-year-old beauty from Ptuj beat 11 other competitors to win the national title. She succeeds Asja Bonnie Pivk and will now prepare to represent Slovenia at Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines this November. Neja Prosenjak, Špela Sever, and Evelin Sadek were named Miss Earth - Air, Miss Earth - Water and Miss Earth - Fire Slovenije 2022, respectively. Miss Earth Slovenije 2022 (Miss Earth Slovenia) will be held on Saturday, October 8 at the La Vie hall in Kostanjevica na Krki. Vida Milivojša was crowned Miss Slovenije 2022 (Miss Slovenia) on Sunday, September 4 in the beautiful municipality of Braslovče. The 23-year-old beauty from Ljubljana bested 15 other finalists to win her national title. She is a dancer and student pursuing a degree in marketing communication and public relations. Hana Klaut, 26, and Talita Sofija Komelj, 22, were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. To live up to its theme "Podjetništvo na podeželju" (Entrepreneurship in the countryside), this year's national competition was held in a venue rich in cultural and natural heritage and is home to successful domestic companies. The new Miss Slovenije succeeds Maja Čolić and is now expected to represent her country at the 71st Miss World pageant on a date and venue yet to be announced. Maja Čolić was crowned Miss Slovenije 2020/21 in a national competition that took place last June 27 in Hrastnik. The 21-year-old beauty from Ribnica is a student of economics and international business. She bested 14 other contestants to win the national title. Lina Jenšac and Neža Simčič were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Maja succeded Miss Slovenije 2019 Špela Alič and will now prepare to represent Slovenia at the Miss World 2021 pageant later this year in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
