The highly anticipated preliminary competition of Miss Universe Thailand 2023 took place on Friday, August 18 at the MCC Hall, The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi. Fifty-three contestants from all over the country heat up the stage with their sizzling swimsuit bodies and breathtaking elegance in sparkling evening gowns. The important event took place before tonight's national costume competition and the final show on Sunday, August 20 which be held at the same spectacular venue. To say difficult is an understatement for the judges who will determine the next Miss Universe Thailand. The contestants brought the house down with their spectacular performances. As expected, the most talked about frontrunners did not disappoint. The show concluded with the announcement of the award winners followed by the presentation of the new Mouawad crown "Light of Glory" with outgoing Miss Universe Thailand Anna Sueangam-iam. Tonight is the much-awaited preliminary competition of the Miss Universe Thailand 2023 at MCC Hall, The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi. The crucial part of the annual competition will help determine the semifinalists to be announced during the final show on Sunday, August 20. Fifty-three contestants representing different provinces of the country will walk the runway facing the judges in their swimsuits and evening gowns. Miss Venezuela 2023 contestants officially announced

Miss Venezuela organization officially announced on Thursday, August 17 the names of the 25 contestants vying for Miss Venezuela 2023, the 71st edition of the prestigious national pageant. The beauties were selected following a comprehensive evaluation held in Caracas, Anzoátegui, Aragua, Bolívar, Carabobo, Monagas, and Zulia. They will represent the 24 states and the federal district of Venezuela at this year's competition whose winners will get to participate in Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss International pageants. A presentation gala will take place on Saturday, September where each of the contestants will receive their official sashes. Great Lakes' Sthephanie Marie Miranda bested over 20 other competitors to be crowned Miss Grand United States 2023 on Thursday, August 17 at the Copernicus Center in Chicago, Illinois. The 29-year-old Puerto Rican influencer, YouTuber, and entrepreneur will now prepare to represent the United States of America at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam this October. She succeeds last year's titleholder Emily Rose DeMure. Samantha Catherine Keaton of Illinois was named first runner-up while Rachel Slawson of New York, Francie Millan of Texas and Mazzy Eckel of Washington were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Sri Lanka will be represented at Miss International 2023 by the recently appointed Miss Sri Lanka International 2023 Umanda Bamunuachchi. The 21-year-old professional dancer and student living in Paris was second runner-up at Miss Sri Lanka in France, a beauty pageant among the Sri Lankan community. She also bagged the Best Catwalk and Miss Congeniality award. As Miss International Sri Lanka, Umanda is advocating for pediatric cancer patients.
