Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 pageant officially launched

Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 was officially launched in a special press conference held on Wednesday, June 19 at Caravelle Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City. Reigning Miss Earth Mina Sue Choi of Korea was honored as ambassador during the event organized by TNA Entertainment under the leadership of the entrepreneur, actress, and president of Miss Earth Vietnam Truong Ngoc Anh. The national competition will kick off official casting in August and the winner is expected to participate in the Miss Earth 2023 to be held in the country this December. Nguyen Tran Khanh Van (Miss Universe Vietnam 2019), Le Thi Ha Thu (Miss Earth Vietnam 2017), and Bui Quynh Hoa (International Supermodel 2022) were announced as program mentors for its upcoming reality show format. Miss International Guatemala 2023 is María Reneé Díaz

María Reneé Díaz was officially announced on Tuesday, July 18 as Miss International Guatemala 2023. The 24-year-old marketing student currently working as a Spanish-to-English translator will represent Guatemala at Miss International 2023 in Japan this October. A fun fact about her is that she is of Filipino descent, through her paternal grandfather, who hails from San Fernando (Pampanga), Philippines, and her mother, of course, is a proud Guatemalan. From an early age, María developed a philanthropic sense, being passionate about helping children from low-income families and promoting their education and social training. Now with great pride and commitment, she takes on the responsibility of representing Guatemala with dignity, in her quest for the second Miss International crown for her country. Miss International Hong Kong 2023 is Verna Leung

Verna Leung edged out five other finalists to be crowned Miss International Hong Kong 2023 on Saturday, July 15 at the 2020 Studio in Hong Kong. The 25-year-old fashion model and pet food bakery owner also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. She succeeds Rosemary Ling and will now prepare to represent Hong Kong at Miss International 2023 in Japan this October. Lucy Stewart, 22, and Sela Wang, 28, were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively while Yohanna Fung, Vera Chan, and Erika Yu were the rest Top 6 finalists. Former Miss Hong Kong Hoyan Mok graced the event as one of the distinguished panel of judges. She represented Hong Kong at Miss Universe 1994 in Manila, Philippines. Miss Earth Spain 2023 is Edurne Fernández

Edurne Fernández was crowned Miss Earth Spain 2023 in a national competition held on Sunday, July 16 at Teatro Apolo in Almería. The 20-year-old nursing student from Alicante succeeds last year's winner Aya Kohen and will now prepare to represent Spain at Miss Earth 2023 to be held in Vietnam later this year. Paula Sánchez was named first runner-up while Naiara Afán, Sandra Martín Maldonado, and Noa Sánchez were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Spain has yet to win the Miss Earth crown since its debut at the pageant in 2001. Its highest placements were in 2007 and 2009 when both Ángela Gómez and Alejandra Echevarría placed in the Top 4 and bagged the Miss Earth Fire title. Miss Indiana USA 2023 is Haley Jordan

Haley Jordan, representing Central Indiana, was crowned Miss Indiana USA 2023 in a state competition held on Monday, July 17 at the Noblesville High School Auditorium. The 25-year-old sports reporter and broadcasting teacher from Indianapolis is a graduate of Indiana University where she double-majored in broadcast journalism and Spanish. She succeeds Miss Indiana USA 2022 Sammy Toney and will now prepare to represent her home state at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada later this year. Her court of runners-up consists of Audrey Schiegel (Spirit of Indiana), Ariah Leary (Evansville), Lexie Dames (Indianapolis), Olivia Johnson (Owen County), and Kiki Walls (Gary). The rest of the Top 16 were Kyra Hoss, Taylor Collins, AK Flude, Katie Whippie, Amanda Pirkowski, Kayla Owens, Adrianna Moore, Ruby Aurora, Lauren Frank, and Caroline Kerr. Tatiana Beauharnais has been officially confirmed to represent Mauritius at Miss Universe 2023. The 23-year-old placed second runner-up while representing Souillac at Miss Maurice 2022 / 2023 competition held last June in Belle Mare. According to her bio for the national pageant, Tatiana grew up in the south of Mauritius, in a family of four members. She is passionate about sports and music and enjoys running, singing, and dancing. One interesting fact about her is that she values honesty and positivity, and believes in living everyday life like it is the last while treating others as she would like to be treated herself. Miss Earth 2022 Mina Sue Choi visits Vietnam

Reigning Miss Earth Mina Sue Choi touched down in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Sunday, July 16 for her first official visit to the country. The 25-year-old Korean beauty was warmly received by TNA Entertainment headed by businesswoman, executive producer, and actress Truong Ngoc Anh. Mina will be a special guest in a press conference for Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 this Wednesday, July 19 at Caravelle Saigon. She is also expected to take part in social and promotional activities for the national competition. To recall, Miss Earth 2022 won her title from a field of over 85 contestants from all over the world last November in the Philippines. Miss Diva 2023: North East Diva 2023 is Daisy Khound

Daisy Khound beat 23 other competitors to be crowned as North East Diva 2023 in a glittering competition held on Sunday, July 16 at Mayfair Hotel in Guwahati. The 22-year-old beauty from Jorhat, Assam won a direct entry to the prestigious LIVA Miss Diva 2023 (Miss Universe India 2023) pageant. Snigdha Baruah and Anushka Lekharu were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The new North East Diva winner is a student at Jagannath Barooah College pursuing a bachelor's degree in history. Tiana Michaels was crowned Queen of South East Nigeria 2023 in a glittering event held on Saturday, July 15 at Gardenia Hotel in Independence Layout, Enugu. The 23-year-old entrepreneur, event planner and coordinator bested 12 other competitors to win the title. She succeeds Queen of South East Nigeria 2021 Achalla Amarachukwu. Benita Chisom and Blessing Emmanuel were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Jennifer Odo Ifeoma clinched the Queen of South East Ambassador title.
