Miss Thailand, Sireethorn Leearamwat, edged out 82 other contestants from around the world to win Miss International 2019 pageant on Tuesday, November 12 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Bunkyo district, Tokyo, Japan.
Beauties from Mexico (Andrea Toscano), Uganda (Evelyn Namatovu Karonde) Colombia (Alejandra Vengoechea) and United Kingdom (Harriotte Lane) were the runners-up while Indonesia (Jolene Marie Rotinsulu), Philippines (Bea Patricia Magtanong) and Vietnam (Nguyen Tuong San) were the Top 8 finalists.
Belarus (Maria Perviy), Finland (Jutta Kyllönen), Hong Kong (Kaye Cheung), Netherlands (Elize Joanne de Hong), Puerto Rico (Ivana Carolina Irizarry), Sri Lanka (Pawani Vithanage) and Venezuela (Melissa Jiménez) completed the Top 15 semi-finalists.
The new Miss International is a 25-year-old pharmacist from Bangkok. She became the first-ever representative from Thailand to win the international competition.
“Being Miss International 2019 is the best thing in my life. However, love & friendship among 82 sisters around the world is more important. I’m so lucky to be with all of you on the stage”, she wrote in an Instagram post.
Last year’s winner from Venezuela, Mariem Velazco, crowned her successor at the end of the event.
