THROWBACK: Daniela di Giacomo of Venezuela wins Miss International 2006

Miss International 2006 Daniela di GiacomoAt age 21, Daniela di Giacomo from Venezuela was crowned Miss International 2006. She succeeded Miss International 2005, Precious Lara Quigaman of the Philippines.

Daniela bested 52 other beauties to win the 5th Miss International crown for her country. Prior to winning the competition, she represented Barinas at the Miss Venezuela 2005 pageant, where she was crowned as Miss Venezuela International.

Miss International 2006 was held both in Tokyo, Japan, and Beijing, China. While the competition kicked-off in Tokyo, Japan with the arrival of the contestants on October 12, 2006, the final event was held at the Beijing Exhibition Center in China on November 11.
